Would you like to learn web marketing at a rapidly growing D2C brand?

HushTug is currently recruiting a full-time web marketer to promote our products and brand.

Learn from industry-leading know-how and work with us to grow HushTug into a globally recognized brand.

01 What is HushTug?

HushTug is a men's leather brand founded in 2019.

None of the founding members had any experience in the apparel industry, but the company is run by eight full-time employees and has grown to the point where it receives over 100 orders every day.

Although we mainly sell online, we plan to open our flagship store in Ikebukuro in 2023, and our second store in Harajuku Omotesando in January 2025. We are aiming to open our third store this year.

Currently, the brand is growing at a rate that surpasses that of established brands that have been in business for decades, and is also expanding into new women's brands and overseas markets.

02What is Marketing?

To put it simply, web marketing involves using the internet to promote a company's products and services and maximize sales and profits.

For us, it's about getting customers who don't know about HushTug interested and buying our products.

Many of our HushTug customers purchase our products without seeing the actual product, simply by looking at information online.

If you think about it logically, you would be scared to pay more than 20,000 to 30,000 yen for a brand you've never heard of before.

However, HushTug actually receives around 100 orders per day.

This does not mean that we are collaborating with any famous designers (rather, we are a brand that all started as apparel beginners).

We don't lie to our customers through exaggerated advertising (the official website has over 6,500 customer reviews, with an average rating of over 4.5/5.0).

So why are HushTug products selling so well? It's because they use a sales method that captures the essence of marketing.

Some of these are mentioned in the two notes above, but here are some specific examples:

  • Is the image attractive enough to inspire purchase desire at first glance?
  • Is the website structured to make people want to buy now, not someday?
  • Have you anticipated any concerns you may have before purchasing and been able to dispel them all?

I am conscious of things like this.

In today's world where using the Internet has become commonplace, it is said that there is no company that does not need web marketing, and it is a skill that is essential for all companies.

Whether you're a second-hand clothing store selling imported clothing, a small shop selling rice balls in a shopping district, or a construction company building local homes and buildings, all of these businesses can increase their sales by using web marketing skills.

If you can learn the essence of marketing, you will become a person that any company will want.

Even if you end up leaving HushTug, you'll likely receive many offers with high salaries.

Returning to the topic at hand, what we look for in web marketers is people who "understand the essence of what makes something sell and can help grow a brand."

From the day you join the company, you will be entrusted with one of our marketing initiatives and will learn marketing theory through practice.

We will teach even those with no experience from the ground up, so as long as you have the desire to grow, you can be fully successful.

In addition to marketing work, you will also need to perform other ancillary tasks such as data entry and email correspondence with external parties.

If you choose a job with the thought, "I only want to do this job," we believe you do not have the potential to grow, so please refrain from applying to HushTug.

05Desired talent

At HushTug, marketing roles are the star of the show.

This is the position that is most committed to sales and profits within the company, and is the job with the greatest responsibility.

No matter how attractive your product is or how satisfying your customer support is, if you cannot generate sales, your company will go bankrupt.

It is no exaggeration to say that the fate of a company rests in the hands of its marketers.

Because it is such an important position, the level of qualifications expected by the company is the highest of all job positions.

Saying things like "I tried hard but I didn't get results" is not acceptable; you are in a position where you are always expected to produce results.

However, you will gain more experience than anything else and be able to grow significantly as a businessman.

Below is the story of an employee who changed jobs to a web marketing position with no prior experience.

Each member works towards high goals every day, but we also aim to create a workplace that completely eliminates unnecessary stress (hairstyles and clothing are also completely up to the individual).

There are no strict hierarchical relationships or internal politics in our workplace, and everyone is focused purely on improving their own skills and increasing customer satisfaction.

Taking action is encouraged, and there is a strong culture in which failure is also valued as proof that one has taken action.

The remote work system that previously existed has now been abolished for productivity reasons, but after coming to the office in the morning, it is acceptable to go to a place where you can concentrate best (such as a cafe or park) and work there.

Also, because we have a small number of employees, you will be able to work closely with the president and vice president, and you will have many opportunities to gain exposure to the management of a venture company.

About holidays

One of the cultures at HushTug is to "rest well when you need to rest."

Employees are given two days off per week, and are required to declare their preferred days off for the following week by the previous Sunday.

We are required to come to work on Tuesdays as there is a general meeting, but we are free to take days off on other days.

We do not have holidays, but we do have special holidays during Obon and the New Year period.

In addition, all employees are entitled to 100% paid leave, so they can use it freely.

No one is forced to work overtime, so all employees go home on time almost every day.

When you do take a break, make sure to rest well and maximize your performance during work hours.
