Would you like to learn web marketing at a rapidly growing D2C brand?

HushTug is currently recruiting a full-time web marketer to promote our products and brand.

Come learn from the industry's best know-how and work with us to grow HushTug into a globally recognized brand.

01 What is HushTug?

HushTug is a men's leather brand founded in 2019.

None of the founding members had any experience in the apparel industry, but the company is run by five full-time employees and has grown to the point where it receives around 100 orders every day.

Although the main sales method is online, we plan to open our flagship store, Ikebukuro Main Store, in 2023, and our second store, the Harajuku Omotesando Store, in January 2025. We are aiming to open our third store this year.

The company is currently growing at a speed that surpasses that of established brands that have been in business for decades, and is also expanding into new women's brands and overseas markets.

02 Business Contents

To put it simply, web marketing involves using the internet to promote a company's products and services and maximize sales and profits.

For us, it is about getting customers who don't know about HushTug yet to become interested and purchase our products.

The average order value for HushTug is 20,000 to 30,000 yen, but many customers make purchases without seeing the actual product, only based on information online.

If you think about it normally, you would be scared to pay more than 20,000 to 30,000 yen for a brand you've never heard of before.

However, HushTug actually receives around 100 orders per day.

This is not because we are collaborating with a famous designer (rather, we are a brand that all started as apparel beginners).

We do not lie to customers through exaggerated advertising or other such practices (the official website has over 5,000 customer reviews, with an average rating of over 4.5/5.0).

So why are HushTug products selling so well? It's because they use a sales method that captures the essence of marketing.

Some of these are mentioned in the two notes above, but here are some concrete examples:

  • Is the image attractive enough to inspire purchase desire at first glance?
  • Is the website structured in a way that makes people want to buy now, not someday?
  • Have you anticipated any concerns you may have before purchasing and been able to dispel them all?

I am conscious of things like this.

In today's world where using the Internet has become commonplace, it is said that there is no company that does not need web marketing, and it is a skill that is essential for all companies.

A second-hand clothing store selling imported clothes from overseas, a private shop selling rice balls in a shopping district, or a construction company building local homes and buildings can all use web marketing skills to increase sales.

If you can learn the essence of marketing, you will become a person who is in demand by any company.

Even if you do end up leaving HushTug, you will likely receive many offers with high annual salaries.

Returning to the main topic, what is required of web marketers is for them to become people who "understand the essence of what makes something sell and can grow a brand."

From the day you join the company, you will be entrusted with one of our marketing initiatives and will learn marketing theory through practice.

We will teach even those with no experience from the ground up, so as long as you have the desire to grow, you can be fully successful.

In addition to marketing tasks, you will also of course be tasked with ancillary tasks such as data entry and email correspondence with external parties.

If you are the type of person who chooses a job with the thought, "I only want this job," we believe that you do not have the potential to grow, so please refrain from applying to HushTug.

03 Required talent

At HushTug, marketing is a glamorous role.

This is the position most committed to sales and profits within the company, and is the job with the greatest responsibility.

No matter how attractive your product is, or how satisfying your customer support is, if you cannot make sales, your company will go bankrupt.

It is no exaggeration to say that the fate of a company rests in the hands of its marketers.

Because it is such an important position, the level of qualifications expected by companies is the highest of all job positions.

Saying things like "I tried hard, but I didn't get results" won't work; you're in a position where you're always expected to produce results.

However, you will gain more experience than anything else and be able to grow as a businessman.

All three marketers who joined the company in 2024 (two of whom had no experience) have been active from their first month on the job and have received significant increases in their salaries.

Below is the story of an employee who changed jobs to a web marketing position with no prior experience.

The biggest feature of working in marketing is that the greater the pressure, the greater the rewards.

In addition, the characteristics of people who are a good fit for the HushTug culture and those who are not are listed below. Please be sure to read it before applying.

Characteristics of suitable personnel

  • Those who have high aspirations to become a top marketer and are prepared to spare no effort to achieve that goal.
  • Those who are not only good at talking, but also have the ability to act without fear of failure and not give up until they succeed.
  • Those who do not blame others or the environment for their failures, but take responsibility for everything themselves, and continue to work toward self-improvement
  • People who find joy in satisfying customers and who consider "other people's happiness to be their own happiness"

Characteristics of unsuitable personnel

  • Those who think it's enough to become a decent marketer
  • People who have unnecessary pride and are unable to follow advice
  • Those who blame others or the environment, do not learn from their mistakes, and have no desire to grow.
  • People who think that it's okay as long as they are happy and cannot sympathize with doing business with sincerity towards customers.

Each member works towards high goals every day, but we also aim to create a workplace that thoroughly eliminates all other unnecessary stress (hairstyle and dress code are also optional).

There are no oppressive hierarchical relationships or internal politics in our workplace; everyone is simply focused on improving their own skills and increasing customer satisfaction.

Taking action is encouraged, and there is a strong culture in which even failure is valued as evidence of having taken action.

The remote work system that previously existed has now been abolished for productivity reasons, but after coming to the office in the morning, it is acceptable to go to a place where you can concentrate best (a cafe, a park, etc.) and work there.

Also, because we have a small number of employees, you will be able to work closely with the president and vice president, and there are many opportunities to gain exposure to the management of a venture company.

About holidays

One of the cultures at HushTug is to "rest well when you need to rest."

Employees are given two days off per week, and are required to declare their preferred days off for the following week by the previous Sunday.

You are required to come to work on Tuesdays as there is a company-wide meeting, but you are free to take days off on other days.

We do not have holidays on public holidays, but we do have special holidays during Obon and the New Year period.

In addition, all employees are entitled to use 100% of their paid leave, so they can use it freely.

No one is forced to work overtime, so all employees go home on time almost every day.

When you do take a break, make sure to rest well and maximize your performance during work hours.

09Finally

HushTug is a young brand that was founded only six years ago, but we aim to make it one of the top brands in Japan. We also plan to diversify the brand into other genres beyond leather goods and expand overseas.

HushTug is currently in its early stages, and we expect all current members to play active roles as future executive members.

Compared to large corporations, there are still some areas where our internal structure is not yet fully developed, but everyone there has a venturesome mindset and is eager to grow.

If you produce results, you'll receive a large raise, and you'll also have the opportunity to experience seeing a rapidly expanding brand up close.

Although there are many difficult aspects, I promise that this is an environment where you will be able to look back in the future and truly say, "I'm glad I joined HushTug."

  • Do a decent job for a decent salary and waste your life
  • Will you place yourself in a challenging but rewarding environment and seize a bright future with your own hands?

It's up to you to decide.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are determined to become top marketers.
