[HushTug] The second sample of the new tote bag is now complete!
Hello! I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce the 2nd sample of our new tote bag, which has just been completed.
It has evolved significantly from the 1st sample, with a more practical and refined design.

Major Renewal! Key Changes
① Handle Design
The biggest difference is the handle design.
While the 1st sample had handles that extended from the top, similar to our leather totes, this time we changed them to a handle with a business bag-like impression, using diamond-shaped parts.
Furthermore, by flattening the handles, it's now easier to carry on your shoulder.
② Size Optimization
We also re-evaluated the overall size.
The height, width, and depth have been compactly adjusted, aiming for a size that can just barely fit a 13-inch PC.
③ First Attempt at Opening/Closing System
The opening has been changed from the belt-cinch style of the 1st sample to a zipper closure.
By making the zipper tapes at both ends longer and extending the zipper all the way to the outside, it opens wide, making the contents easy to see, and allowing for smooth loading and unloading of items.
The length of these zipper tapes will be adjusted in the future, and they will be secured with snaps.
Also, the bottom has a sturdy core material, providing stability to stand on its own.
Storage Capacity
The 2nd sample of the new tote bag has been developed with a focus not only on design but also on storage capacity.
Here, we'll introduce the usability after actually putting items in and the points for planned improvements.
A4 File Storage
Initially designed to fit A4 files, due to the triangular shape when the opening is closed, it ended up being just barely unable to fit them.
In the next sample, we plan to adjust the dimensions to improve it to a size that can properly store A4 files.
PC Storage
A 13-inch laptop fits perfectly.
However, the challenge is that when the zipper is closed, a slight step is created on one side.
We will also adjust the height to improve the design for stress-free PC storage.
Storage in Inner Pockets
There's a zippered pocket inside.
It's designed to store mobile batteries and smartphones, and a long wallet fits perfectly.
Pouch and Plastic Bottle Storage
It can also store two pouches side-by-side, making it easy to carry items neatly organized.
Also, although it was designed to store plastic bottles vertically, when items are put in, the top becomes narrower and a bit cramped.
Therefore, horizontal storage is recommended for now.
In the future, we will improve it to allow more room for vertical storage.
Future Developments
The 2nd sample of the new tote bag has been significantly improved from the 1st sample.
We are now entering the final adjustments to further enhance usability while balancing design and storage capacity, and plan to proceed with sales soon.
