[HushTug] The second sample of the new tote bag is now complete!
Hello! I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce the 2nd sample of our new tote bag, which has just been completed.
It has evolved significantly from the 1st sample, with a more practical and refined design.

Major renewal! Key changes
①Handle design
The first major difference is the handle design.
In the 1st sample, the handles emerged from the top like a leather tote, but this time we changed to handles with a business bag-like impression, using diamond-shaped parts.
Furthermore, by flattening the handles, it is easier to carry over the shoulder.
②Size optimization
We also reviewed the overall size.
We have compactly adjusted the height, width, and gusset, aiming for a size that can just barely fit a 13-inch PC.
③First attempt at a closure system
The opening has been changed from the belt-tightening specification of the 1st sample to a zipper closure.
By making the zipper tapes at both ends longer and extending the zipper to the outside, it opens wide, making the contents easy to see, and allows for smooth loading and unloading of items.
The length of these zipper tapes will be adjusted in the future, and they are scheduled to be fastened with snaps.
Also, a sturdy core material has been inserted into the bottom, giving it stable self-standing ability.
Storage capacity
The 2nd sample of the new tote bag has been developed with a focus on both design and storage capacity.
Here, we will introduce the usability when actually putting items in, and the points to be improved.
A4 file storage
Initially designed to accommodate A4 files, due to the triangular shape when closed, it ended up being just barely unable to fit.
In the next sample, we plan to adjust the dimensions to improve it to a size that can properly store A4 files.
PC storage
A 13-inch laptop fits perfectly.
However, the challenge is that when the zipper is closed, there is a slight step on one side.
We will also adjust the height and improve the design to allow for stress-free PC storage.
Storage in inner pockets
A zippered pocket is placed on the inside.
It is designed to store mobile batteries and smartphones, and a long wallet fits perfectly.
Pouch/plastic bottle storage
Since two pouches can be stored side by side, it is characterized by being able to be carried while keeping things organized.
Also, although the plastic bottle was designed to be stored vertically, when items are put in, the top becomes narrower and a little cramped.
Therefore, horizontal storage is recommended for now.
In the future, we will improve it to allow for more space for vertical storage.
Future developments
The 2nd sample of the new tote bag has been significantly improved from the 1st sample.
We will enter the final adjustments to further enhance ease of use while achieving both design and storage capacity, and then proceed with sales.
