This Smart Tote is a product created through a collaboration between a Japanese sewing company with top-tier technology and Himeji leather, which is highly regarded worldwide.
Handbag Suzuki, the company responsible for manufacturing this product, was facing the risk of closure due to a 50% decrease in orders caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and a chronic shortage of successors.
However, they possessed a wealth of manufacturing experience and techniques, including for high-end brands, and held firm, world-class skills.
Therefore, we decided to jointly develop a product that combines HushTug's simple design, the globally renowned Himeji leather, and superior Japanese sewing technology.
This project was launched to pass on the world's finest Himeji leather and Japanese sewing technology to future generations.
