Handbag Suzuki Co., which undertook the production of this product, saw its orders halved due to the COVID-19 pandemic and was suffering from a chronic shortage of successors, facing the risk of closure.
However, the company possessed solid, world-class techniques, with numerous production achievements and technologies, including for high-end brands.
Therefore, we decided to jointly develop a product that combines Himeji leather, highly acclaimed worldwide, with excellent Japanese sewing technology.
This project was launched to pass on Japan's world-class sewing technology to future generations and to spread the appeal of Himeji leather globally.
