This square pouch is a collaborative product that combines Japanese sewing companies, which have been struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with Himeji leather, which is highly regarded around the world.
Handbag Suzuki, the company contracted to manufacture this product, had seen its orders halved due to the impact of COVID-19, and was also suffering from a chronic lack of successors, and was facing the risk of going out of business.
However, the company had a wealth of production experience and skills, including for high-end brands, and possessed solid technology that could be proudly presented on the world stage.
This is why we have decided to jointly develop a product that combines Himeji leather, which is highly regarded around the world, with Japan's excellent sewing techniques.
This project was launched to pass on Japan's world-class sewing techniques to future generations while also spreading the appeal of Himeji leather to the world.
This square pouch, which carries that hope, is HushTug's first ever redesigned product.
