[HushTug] The second sample of the 2-way square bag is complete!
Hello, I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce a new sample we've created.
The 2nd sample of the 2-way square bag, which I introduced in a previous blog post, is now complete, so I will be explaining the detailed changes and sizing.

First, here is the completed sample.
The biggest change was adjusting the size.
The 1st sample was just barely big enough for a 13-inch PC, but this time we've made it a size smaller.
This was decided after consulting with the planner, as we believed that since this product is primarily for everyday use, there might be no need to carry a PC.
As a result, we decided to narrow down the size.
While the 1st sample felt a bit large when carried on the shoulder or by hand, by making it a size smaller, I believe it now has a comfortable size for crossbody or shoulder carry.
It's actually designed to securely store common items like an iPad (10.9 inches).
As a change, since the width and height were reduced, the outer zipper pocket has also become shorter.
Also, there are changes to the interior, so I will introduce those as well.
First, the leather loop, which had a magnet in the 1st sample, was a bit too short, so we changed it to a more relaxed length.
Therefore, it is designed so that it does not awkwardly dent when closed.
Also, we changed the placement of the interior pockets.
In the first sample, the leather strap part was placed in a slightly lower position, but in this sample, it is at the same height as the leather strap, resulting in a neater design.
Furthermore, the width of the pockets has been slightly narrowed.
The 1st sample had excess lining, but this has been improved in the current sample.
We plan to continue making adjustments while making the dimensions a bit smaller.
Additionally, we added a bottom plate to prevent the lining from coming out when taking items in and out.
When an iPad is actually inserted, it fits snugly and can be securely fastened with the loop.
However, since narrowing the width of the zipper pocket made it a little difficult to put things in and out, for the next sample, we are considering changing it to a zipperless flat pocket and making it bulge slightly to improve ease of use.
The usability of the outer pocket remains unchanged and is fine, so we believe it can stay as is.
Next, I will introduce the sizing when worn.
First, the size when carried by hand is a comfortable size.
It's like a vertical version of the width of the Zip Mini Tote.
When worn over the shoulder, the strap is set short, so a single-shoulder style might feel more comfortable than a crossbody style.
However, by adjusting the strap length, it's also possible to extend it to about waist height.
If made even longer, crossbody carry is also perfectly fine.
However, if it's made too long, the strap will hang down quite a bit, so if you're concerned about this, we recommend removing the strap and storing it inside the bag.
That concludes the section on wearability.
How was it?
This time, I introduced the 2nd sample of the 2-way square bag.
Personally, I feel that the fit when worn has become much more comfortable.
Regarding the usability of the interior pockets, there are some areas that are a bit difficult to use, so we will change the specifications and improve it to create a bag that can be used with less stress.
