Introducing the [HushTug] Crossbody Bag (1st Sample)

Hello. I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.

This time, I'd like to introduce the first sample of our newly completed crossbody bag.

While this sample has a similar size to our existing body bag, we've improved the exterior and interior to achieve a more functional finish.

Exterior Design Features

• Shoulder Pad

With thick cushioning material built in, it reduces the burden on your shoulders even on days when you have a lot of luggage. This is a new endeavor for HushTug.

• Length Adjustment Hardware

Hardware also used in backpacks is placed on both the left and right sides. This allows for fine-tuning of the strap length from both sides.

• Back Pocket

Equipped with a drop pocket perfectly sized for a smartphone. The appeal is that it doesn't have a zipper, allowing for quick access.

It maintains a simple design while incorporating excellent functionality.

Interior and Storage Capacity

• Wide Slip Pocket (with logo)

Can store thin items or body wipes.

• Stitched Slip Pocket

Perfect for organizing small essentials like key cases and earphones.

Capacity Guide

• Can store a 500ml plastic bottle horizontally

• Can store a long wallet, but it might be a bit tight with other items

• Works well with a compact wallet

Currently, the bag tends to bulge depending on the amount of luggage, so improvements are planned for the 2nd sample.

Wearing Image and Fit

When worn over one shoulder, the pad fits snugly and is comfortable to use.
However, when worn crossbody, the strap tends to shift slightly, indicating room for improvement.

Additionally, even with the strap at its longest, it sits around the waist for someone 168cm tall, meaning it's generally a bit short. We are considering extending and redesigning it for the next sample.

Planned Improvements for the 2nd Sample

• Removal of Shoulder Pad

Judged to be over-specced for the main body size; prioritizing lightness.

• Increase in Body Size

Aiming for an intermediate size between a shoulder bag and a medium sacoche, enhancing storage capacity.

• Review of Interior Layout

Removing the wide pocket on the body side to eliminate interference and bulging of luggage.

• Adjustment of Gusset and Width

Expanding by a few centimeters to optimize storage capacity and appearance balance.

• Improvement of Strap Design

Readjusting to enhance the fit when worn crossbody.

Release Schedule

As this was the 1st sample, it will still be some time until its release.
Specific sales schedules will be announced on our official blog, newsletter, and YouTube as soon as they are decided.

Future Developments

The production of the 2nd sample is currently underway.

Once completed, we plan to introduce it again in a video.
