The price of the Smart Wallet (14,850 yen) might seem high for its size compared to a body bag (22,000 yen).
However, small items require intricate work, and their production demands advanced techniques.
For example, while larger bags have a relatively simple structure, small products like the Smart Wallet incorporate:
- Precise stitching to achieve thinness
- Special reinforcement to maintain strength
- The advanced skills of leather craftsmen
Therefore, the price is not solely determined by the amount of leather used. This pricing reflects the concentration of high-quality craftsmanship.
Why are there only black and embossed leather options? Will more colors be added?
We are currently planning to release new color options!
While the Smart Wallet has only been available in black and embossed leather, we have started transactions with a new leather factory and are considering adding the following color variations:
- Color variations other than black (e.g., orange, navy)
- Use of vegetable-tanned leather for enjoyable aging
- Smooth leather without embossing
We will introduce samples on our blog and social media as soon as they arrive!
The card slots are too soft; I'd like them to be firmer.
We have improved the design by adding interlining material, making it firmer!
The initial batch did not use interlining, but based on user feedback, we made improvements, and now the construction is sturdy. Please use it with peace of mind.
Does the leather have a strong smell?
The unique smell of leather products will diminish over time.
If you are concerned, please try methods such as:
- Wrapping it in newspaper for a few days
- Placing it in a well-ventilated area
Can banknotes be stored folded in half?
They cannot be stored folded in half.
They can be stored folded in thirds or quarters. For those who wish to fold them in half, we recommend the slightly larger L-zip wallet.
Can I store my house keys with it?
You can store your keys along with cards and bills by placing them in the central pocket.
This is especially recommended for those who want to "integrate their wallet and keys."
Does the zipper ever get stuck?
We use YKK zippers, but rarely, due to individual differences during manufacturing, they might catch.
