This time, a new sample by Nakamura Kikaku, the "Vertical Body Bag," has been completed.

HushTug currently offers horizontal body bags, but this time we're taking on a new challenge with a vertical form.

In this article, we will explain everything from the development process to our commitment and storage capacity in detail.

Motivation for development

A new option different from the horizontal type

HushTug currently has:

• Body Bag
• Curved Body Bag

There are two types.

Since both have a horizontal form,

"We want to add a vertical body bag to our lineup."

This idea sparked the development of this product.

When worn, the back view creates a vertical line, allowing you to enjoy a different impression from existing models.

Key features

Size determined based on survey results

The size of this model was designed based on a follower survey conducted on Instagram in the past.

• Long vertical type

• Slightly shorter type

When comparing the two options, the shorter balance was more popular, so the current size was decided.

One of the features of this project is that it was designed based on user feedback.

Two-compartment storage design

The storage is a two-compartment structure that is easy to separate.

• Main compartment

• Front pocket

By separating these, small items can be easily organized.

In addition, the front pocket is designed to be inconspicuous from the outside, ensuring storage capacity while maintaining a minimalist appearance.

Supports both left and right-handed carrying

There is a preference for left or right-handed carrying with vertical body bags.

Therefore, this model has the following specifications:

• Shoulder strap is detachable

• Can be swapped to either left or right

This allows for adjustment according to your dominant hand or usage style.

A key ring is placed inside the front pocket.

While conventional models were entirely made of leather, this time we prioritized:

This design emphasizes both points.

With a good depth, the silhouette is less likely to lose its shape even with layered storage.

About storing long wallets

A round zip wallet fit perfectly.

However,

• Larger long wallets

• Thicker wallets

may be difficult to store.

※We are also considering height adjustment for the second sample.

A D-ring is placed at the base of the shoulder strap.

Current level of completion and future improvement plans

This is a deliberately strict self-assessment.

Main improvements currently under consideration:

• Reduction of silver hardware

• Consideration of replacement with aluminum parts

• Review of key ring specifications

• Fine-tuning of storage balance

We plan to further improve the completion with the second sample.
