Despite its compact appearance, we designed it to have practical storage capacity for daily use and to maintain a beautiful form.
The inspiration｜Balancing appearance and practicality
In recent years, smaller shoulder bags have become more common, and while their cuteness is appealing, they can sometimes be inconvenient in terms of storage.
For example, there are situations where "only the bare minimum fits, so a sub-bag is ultimately needed" or "it's difficult to put things in and take them out, making it impractical for daily use."
Therefore, this time, we focused on the classic and popular Boston bag shape as a way to achieve both "cuteness" and "practicality with ample storage."
Boston bags are characterized by their structure, which makes it easy to secure storage capacity. We aimed for a size that appears small but can comfortably hold everyday essentials.
Key Feature 1｜Structural design that maintains a rounded form
The challenge with mini Boston bags lies in maintaining their rounded form beautifully.
If the structure is weak, it can easily lose its shape, significantly altering its impression.
Boston bags, in particular, are a shape where crushing directly affects their appearance.
Therefore, for this sample, we thoroughly examined the placement and insertion of core materials, adjusting them repeatedly in consultation with craftsmen.
We improved upon the first prototype, remaking the sample multiple times to achieve its current form.
Key Feature 2｜Creating a three-dimensional effect with a panel design
We incorporated a panel design into the main body to prevent the bag from looking flat.
While maintaining a simple overall look, by creating lines that connect to the shoulder strap attachment and handle areas, we achieve a natural three-dimensional effect and expression.
Furthermore, we considered not only design but also manufacturing aspects, incorporating the current specifications after taking into account the ease of work for craftsmen.
Key Feature 3｜Hardware selected based on both "necessity" and "cost"
This model uses a lot of hardware, so we spent a lot of time selecting it.
Since increasing hardware affects costs, we considered each piece from the following perspectives:

For example, we tested multiple patterns for the shoulder strap attachment and adopted a specification that blends well with the rounded form.
We emphasized not only a unified appearance but also ensuring there's no discomfort when using it.

The leather used is not the typical oily leather of HushTug, but rather one with a smoother texture.
This material makes the rounded form look even more beautiful and easily conveys the elegance suitable for women.
Because its expression is subdued, the hardware and panel designs blend in naturally.
Additionally, since it's the same leather as our quilted bags, it's easy to consider them as a set of coordinated items.
This choice of material also ensures consistency when bags are displayed together, making it easier to plan for series expansion.
