Introducing the [HushTug] Crossbody Bag (1st Sample)
Hello, I'm Nakajima, the designer of HushTug.
This time we will introduce the first sample of our newly completed crossbody bag .
This sample is similar in size to existing body bags, but the exterior and interior have been improved to make it more functional.
Exterior design features

-
Shoulder Pad
The shoulder pad features thick built-in cushioning to reduce strain on your shoulders even when carrying a lot of luggage. This is a new approach never before seen at HushTug.
-
Length adjustment metal fittings
The same metal fittings used on backpacks are located on both the left and right sides. The strap length can be fine-tuned on both sides.
-
Back pocket
The bag is equipped with a drop pocket large enough to fit a smartphone. It doesn't have a zipper, so you can easily access it.
It maintains a simple design while still being highly functional.
Interior and storage capacity

-
Wide, solid pocket (with logo)
Can store thin items and body sheets. -
Stitched flat pocket
Perfect for organizing small essentials like keys and earphones.
-
Capacity guide
-
Can store a 500ml PET bottle horizontally
-
It can also store a long wallet, but it may be a little tight if you have a lot of other luggage.
-
Goes well with compact wallets
-
Currently, the exterior tends to bulge depending on the amount of luggage, so we plan to improve this in the second sample.
Wearing image and fit

When worn alone, the pad fits snugly and is comfortable to use.
On the other hand, the strap tends to slip off when worn cross-body, so there is room for improvement.
Also, even at its longest setting, the straps only reach above the waist for someone 168cm tall, so the overall length is a little short. We are considering lengthening and redesigning the straps for the next sample.
Planned improvements in the 2nd sample
-
Removal of shoulder pads
We decided that the shoulder pads were over-specified for the size of the main body, and prioritized lightweight design.
-
Expanded body size
The size is between a shoulder bag and a medium sacoche, increasing storage capacity.
-
Review of interior layout
The wide pockets on the sides of the body have been removed to eliminate interference and bulging of luggage.
-
Gusset and width adjustment
The gusset and width can be adjusted in increments of a few centimetres to optimise the balance between storage capacity and appearance.
-
Improved strap design
Readjusted to improve fit when worn cross-body.
