Currently, the Smart Tote is available in three colors: black, navy, and brown.

How different is the size compared to the leather tote bag?

The Smart Tote itself has a vertically elongated silhouette, so we've adjusted the handle length to an appropriate size to avoid disrupting the balance of the vertical design.
What are the differences from the leather tote?
The main differences are the presence of a zipper and the storage structure.
Leather Tote Bag → Has a zipper at the top to conceal belongings
Smart Tote → No zipper at the top, but has internal zippered pockets
While the Smart Tote doesn't have a zipper to conceal items, it does have zippered pockets inside for securely storing keys, wallets, and other valuables.
Also, the leather tote bag is designed to be freestanding, whereas the Smart Tote is not freestanding, so it needs to be leaned against something when you sit down.
In terms of minor details, there are also differences in the pocket design.
For the Smart Tote, a leather trim is added above the slip pocket, giving it a simple yet refined look.
Does the size feel too large?
Regarding the size of the Smart Tote, some customers have commented that it feels "too big for a shopping bag."
During development, it was designed to meet the need for a bag that could "store a PC or documents without carrying as much as a leather tote bag."
Therefore, some people might find it a bit large for light shopping.
Conversely, for those who prioritize the ability to store A4-sized documents and a PC, it is just the right size.
There was feedback that the handle is slippery, wasn't there?
Among the reviews, some feedback mentioned that "the handle tends to slip when carried on the shoulder while wearing a jacket or coat."
This is likely because the Smart Tote is relatively lightweight, and with fewer items inside, it becomes more prone to slipping.
- Insufficient weight of items, causing it to slip off the shoulder easily when carried.
- Can be slippery depending on the material of the coat.
Regarding this point, rather than improving the handle itself, it might be possible to address it by using commercially available tote bag holders (items that bundle the handles together).
It might be worth considering handling them as an optional item in the future.
Should it have a snap closure?
The Smart Tote does not come with a magnetic snap or zipper.
This is because:
- We prioritized a smart design.
- The gusset is too narrow to install a zipper.
However, due to the structure of the opening, with its narrow width and depth, it's easy to tuck under your arm when carrying it on your shoulder, making it less likely for the contents to be visible and ensuring a certain level of security.
While there are opinions requesting a snap closure, it is not currently included, so please use it carefully, considering the specifications of the opening.
