Staff Favorite Item | Fragment Case Black (Gold Zip) / Used for 2 years
We interviewed a HushTug staff member about their favorite item and the time they've spent with it.
This time, they talked about the appeal of their favorite Fragment Case Black (Gold Zipper).
── What made you buy it?
Actually, I bought this right after it went on sale about two years ago.
At that time, I was thinking about how I wanted to make my belongings more minimalist. When I heard that HushTug was releasing a fragment case, I thought, "This is it!" and decided immediately.
The one I'm using is an early model, so it has a slightly more pronounced grain (texture of the leather surface) than the current one.
After using it roughly every day for about two years, it has gradually developed a subtle, elegant sheen.
I really love how it's aged and developed a nice character.
── How do you usually use it?
I'm someone who carries two wallets.
I keep a long wallet in my bag, but I always have this fragment case tucked into my pants pocket.
A long wallet doesn't fit in my pocket, and even a regular bifold wallet is a bit too big for me.
I usually carry only three cards: my transit IC card, my main credit card, and my company ID card.
This case has four card slots, which is really perfect for my style.
I've used it for two years, and I've never had the stress of cards falling out or being difficult to retrieve because they get caught.
Having this one item in my pocket is super convenient when I just want to pop into a convenience store.
By the way, I used to lose my wallets frequently (laughs), but I haven't lost this fragment case even once.
I guess it's because it's compact and easy to keep on me, and most of all, I'm really attached to it.
── Please tell us your favorite points.
First and foremost, the combination of "black genuine leather x gold zipper" is incredibly stylish.
Although I usually keep it in my pocket, when I'm working in the office or a cafe, I intentionally leave it on the table.
It just blends into the space when it's there, and its presence looks perfectly sharp.
Also, despite its thin appearance, I'm pleased that it has a divider inside when you open the zipper.
You can neatly separate coins and receipts inside, so it's minimalist yet extremely practical.
The zipper also slides just right, and I've never had any trouble with it opening on its own in my bag or pocket.
I also recommend pairing it with other HushTug bags and leather accessories that have the same leather texture for a cohesive look.
I'm looking forward to aging it even further as my companion.
