Hello! I'm Nakashima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce a newly completed sample bag.
This time, we created a "2-way mini shoulder bag."
In this article, I will explain in detail everything from the background of its development to its design features, storage capacity, and planned improvements.

Features of the Completed Sample
Development Background
Until now, HushTug has only offered the "leather shoulder bag" as a shoulder bag.
To accommodate a wider range of lifestyles and fashion, we are developing a compact, easy-to-carry new bag.
Features of the 2-Way Mini Shoulder Bag
Here, we will introduce the features of the 2-way mini shoulder bag.
The shoulder strap of this bag is detachable, allowing it to be used as a "2-way" bag, either carried "by hand" like a handbag without the strap.
Of course, with the shoulder strap attached, it can be worn cross-body or over the shoulder, so you can freely switch up your style depending on the occasion.
Also, on the exterior, there is a zipper on the front and a pocket on the back.
This space can also accommodate larger smartphones.
About the Product Highlights
Design with Gussets
A key feature of this shoulder bag is its generous gusset.
We received many comments that popular products like the "Leather Sacoche" and "Leather Sacoche Medium" were "just barely unable to fit a long wallet."
Based on that feedback, we developed a bag with a gusset that can comfortably fit a long wallet.
Attention to Detail in the Shoulder Strap
The shoulder strap uses a thick nylon material.
Made from the same material as the "Flap Shoulder Bag" and "2-Way Square Bag," it achieves both durability and a luxurious feel.

In addition, the metal fittings are all black. Compared to silver, they reflect less light, giving a refined impression.
Also, by using a metal fitting called "kokakin," the range of length adjustment is extremely wide.
You can carry it short or use it longer during seasons when you wear thicker clothes.
You can adjust it to the perfect length to suit your body type and clothing.
About the Interior
The opening features a U-shaped zipper, allowing it to open wide.
This design makes it easy to see the contents and retrieve items.
Additionally, there's a stopper inside, providing a secure design that prevents it from opening too wide.
The HushTug logo is placed on the interior.
Currently, an interior pocket is not included, but we are considering adding one to the front or back in future improvements.
About Storage Capacity
Next, let's talk about storage.
The back pocket can comfortably fit large smartphones, such as the iPhone Pro Max.
Also, the main compartment opens wide, allowing you to store long wallets and PET bottles.
For PET bottles, a 500ml bottle fits horizontally, and a 350ml bottle fits vertically, just barely.
We are considering changing this part to allow vertical storage in the 2nd sample.
In addition, common round-type long wallets fit perfectly.
Furthermore, items with thickness, such as pouches, can also be stored together.
Even with small items like key cases and earphones inside, it closes just right, making it a good size.
About Improvements
Through this first sample, we've identified several areas for improvement.

We plan to refine these points in the 2nd and 3rd samples to create a more user-friendly design.
Wearing Scenarios
Here, I've paired it with a suit, but it blends naturally with formal attire.
Worn cross-body, it rests comfortably at the hip, and without the strap, it gives a chic impression when carried by hand.
The shoulder strap can also be rolled up and stored inside, so the ability to change how you carry it depending on the situation is also appealing.
It can also be used as a "bag-in-bag" by placing it inside a larger bag such as a tote bag.
Summary
The "2-way mini shoulder bag" introduced this time is still in the 1st sample stage.
We plan to finalize the specifications after the 2nd and 3rd samples before selling it.
