[HushTug] Answers to frequently asked questions about round zip wallets!

Hello! I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.

This article is for those considering purchasing our Round Zip Wallet.

Thanks to your support, many customers have already chosen this product, and it has received a high rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars! As the product planner, I am truly delighted.

However, when reviewing the actual feedback, I noticed several comments about "a few things that bothered me."

Therefore, in this article, I will deliberately address these opinions and explain them clearly to help you resolve any pre-purchase concerns.

At HushTug, if you purchase online, you can return or exchange the product for free within 30 days, even after using it.

Even so, I know many people find the return process cumbersome. So, this article is designed to help you clearly imagine whether the size, design, and functionality are right for you.

Size and Internal Structure

First, let's discuss the actual size.

  • Width: 19cm

  • Height: 10.5cm

  • Depth: 2.5cm

  • Weight: Approximately 150g

The interior has 12 card slots (6 on each side + a free pocket behind each).

The free pockets are useful for additional card organization or receipts.

There's a zippered coin pocket in the center, and the main compartment has two dividers, making it easy to organize, for example, by separating 10,000-yen and 5,000-yen bills or using one section for receipts.

It has enough capacity to accommodate those who carry many items.

"Points of Concern" from Reviews

Coin Pocket Zipper Hits the Outer Zipper

Some customers commented that "if the coin pocket zipper is half-open, it hits the outer zipper and prevents it from closing."

HushTug's round zip wallet uses a metal pull tab integrated with the slider.

The reason is to create a structure where the pull tab is pin-shaped and can be stored flat.

While the pull tab does interfere with the outer zipper when it's upright, it's designed so that if it's laid flat, it's less likely to get caught.

Conversely, some say "the zipper is very smooth"

Other reviews mentioned, "I used to have trouble with my old wallet getting caught, but since switching to HushTug, it closes smoothly."

Our brand uses YKK zippers, and our craftsmen meticulously adjust them during sewing to prevent distortion, resulting in smooth opening and closing.

"Not big enough for 1 million yen" comment

A customer who purchased it as a gift for their daughter commented, "It can't hold a stack of 1 million yen bills."

While it's true that few people carry 1 million yen in cash, our brand recommends storing around 30 bills.

If we made it too large, it wouldn't fit in the smaller bags that are popular today, so our concept is to achieve both slimness and large capacity.

Card pockets are initially stiff

We also received feedback that "the card slots are a bit stiff."

This is intentionally designed to be stiff to ensure a luxurious feel and durability with its full leather construction.

As you use it, it will conform to the shape of your cards, gradually making it smoother to insert and remove them.

Some say it's stiff overall and takes time to break in

Another comment was, "It doesn't become truly easy to use until after a while."

Similarly, this is because it takes time for the leather to break in. With continued use, both the card slots and coin pocket will gradually become easier to handle.

Conversely, many "positive points" have also been received.

Easy-to-hold size

Many comments such as "fits comfortably in hand" and "easy to hold" have been received.

Round zip wallets are characterized by their comfortable shape, but HushTug carefully adjusts the grain of the leather and uses a leather quality that feels substantial when held.

Good balance of texture and lightness is popular

There are also many reviews that say "lighter than expected" and "high quality texture."

The leather used by HushTug is chrome-tanned, so many people find it lighter than cordovan or bridle leather.

Simplicity and luxury

Another comment was, "Simple and luxurious, just like the tote bag I bought before."

With attention to leather interior and stitching, and avoiding excessive embellishments, the design suits any bag or outfit.

Compact x Necessary storage capacity

We have also received reviews saying, "It's a little smaller than my previous long wallet, but I love it."

Although it's a relatively compact design among round zip wallets, it can hold necessary cards, bills, and coins, making it an ideal model for those who are hesitant about mini wallets but don't need excessive capacity.
