Are there any colors other than black?
Currently, the Smart Tote is available in three colors: black, navy, and brown.
All color variations can be purchased without reservation both on our e-commerce site and in stores.

How much do the sizes differ compared to the leather tote bag?

Since the Smart Tote itself has a vertically long silhouette, the handles are adjusted to an appropriate length to prevent disrupting the balance of the vertical design by making them too long.
What is the difference from the leather tote?
The main differences are the presence of a zipper and the storage structure.
Leather Tote Bag → Zippered top to conceal contents
Smart Tote → No top zipper, but with a zippered pocket inside
The Smart Tote does not have a zipper to conceal items, but it is equipped with a zippered pocket to securely store keys, wallets, and other valuables.
Additionally, while the leather tote bag is designed to be free-standing, the Smart Tote is not free-standing and needs to be propped up when seated.
There are also subtle differences in the pocket design.
The Smart Tote features a patch pocket with a leather trim, creating a simple yet sophisticated impression.
Does it feel too big?
Regarding the size of the Smart Tote, some customers have commented that it feels "too big for a shopping bag."
During development, it was designed to meet the need for a bag that could "store PCs and documents, but not as many items as a leather tote bag."
Therefore, some people might find it a bit large for light shopping.
Conversely, for those who prioritize the ability to store A4 documents and a PC, it is just the right size.
There was feedback that the handles are slippery?
Among the reviews, there was feedback that "the handles are slippery when worn over the shoulder while wearing a jacket or coat."
We believe this is because the Smart Tote is relatively lightweight, and the handles become more slippery when there are fewer items inside.
- Insufficient weight of contents makes it prone to slipping off the shoulder
- Some coat materials may also make it slippery
Regarding this point, rather than improving the handle itself, it might be possible to address it by using commercially available tote bag holders (items that bundle the handles together).
In the future, we may consider handling them as an optional item.
Would a snap closure be better?
The Smart Tote does not have a magnetic snap or zipper.
This is due to reasons such as:
- Prioritizing a smart design
- The gusset being too narrow to attach a zipper
However, given the structure of the opening, which is narrow in width and depth and easy to tuck under the arm when slung over the shoulder, we believe it ensures a certain level of security by making it difficult for the contents to be fully visible.
While there are opinions that a "snap closure would be desirable," it is not currently included, so please use it carefully, taking into account the specifications of the opening.
