[HushTug] The first sample of the bi-fold mini wallet is now complete!

Hello, I'm Nakajima, the designer of HushTug.

This time, we have completed a new sample , so we would like to introduce it to you.

The sample we created this time is a wallet-type product, a genre that HushTug has not yet developed, so if you're interested, please read to the end.

First off, here is the completed sample.

This is a bi-fold wallet, a style that is commonly seen with other brands.

HushTug has previously offered long wallets , but they have not yet released a bi-fold type, so we decided to create a sample this time.

The leather used this time is called "Pure Shrink" , and is characterized by the slightly different fineness of the embossed texture.

This is the leather grain used in HushTug tote bags, and this is the pure shrink grain.

When you compare them, you can see that they have a finer grain .

In addition, the surface texture of Pure Shrink is slightly harder and has a firmer feel.

Currently, for accessories, we are developing our product lineup in two types: our standard shrink leather and pure shrink .

Our medium and long wallets are made of pure shrink type material , and we plan to gradually transition to this type.

In addition, regarding the exterior specifications, it has a painted edge finish , which gives it a very clean and smooth edge.

Next, let me introduce the specifications inside.

The inside has a design like this, and the logo is stamped in gold foil .

There are four card slots on each side, allowing for a total of eight cards to be stored .

In addition, there are two free pockets on each side .

The bill compartment is divided into two sections, allowing you to store 10,000 yen bills and 1,000 yen bills separately, or separate receipts from bills.

Generally, most wallets have a coin case on one side, but this design has card cases on both sides.

Therefore, there is no space to store coins.

The interior is all finished in leather , giving it a luxurious feel.

This first sample is quite complete, and if there are no problems when it is actually used, it is at a level that can be commercialized as is.

The quality is such that it may be released soon.

As for how this sample was created, one of the HushTug employees was using a bi-fold wallet from another brand, and we were talking about how "Come to think of it, HushTug doesn't have a bi-fold wallet," so we decided to give it a try and make one.

He said he uses a type of wallet without a coin purse, and only stores bills and cards in it, while carrying a separate coin purse.

For this reason, the design of this sample also omits the coin case.

There are integrated wallets available, but the part where you put your coins can lose its shape or become thicker, so he opted for a bifold type without a coin purse.

HushTug offers small wallets such as smart wallets , but does not yet offer a product specifically designed for coin cases, so in the future we are considering developing a coin case that can be used as a set.

Next, let's talk about storage.

First of all, it can store 4 cards on each side, for a total of 8 cards.

It is designed with ample width, so you can easily take things in and out.

In addition, there are two free pockets where you can store cards and receipts.

The bill compartment can hold 10,000 yen and 1,000 yen bills separately, and receipts can also be stored separately.

The storage is deep, so you can put things all the way in, but if it's too deep it will be difficult to take things out, so it's best to use it at a moderate depth.

It also has a stepped design , so you can easily open it by hooking your finger.

Some bi-fold wallets have a step and some don't, but ours have a step to make it easier to open intuitively.

In terms of storage capacity, it can hold 10 cards, several bills, and also has a free pocket , making it more spacious than it looks.

Since it does not have any coins, it has excellent storage capacity for cards.

What did you think?

This time, we introduced a sample of a new bi-fold wallet.

Because the quality is so high, we plan to sell it as is, but if you have any opinions, such as "I would like a version with a coin purse," please let us know in the comments.
