[HushTug] The second sample of the 2-way square bag is complete!

Hello, this is Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce a new sample we've created.
The 2nd sample of the 2-way square bag, which I introduced in a previous blog post, has been completed, so I'll be detailing the changes and size.

First, here is the completed sample.

The biggest change was adjusting the size.
The 1st sample was just barely able to fit a 13-inch laptop, but this time, we made it a size smaller.
Since this product is primarily for everyday use, we discussed with the planner and decided that there might not be a need to carry a laptop.
As a result, we decided to narrow down the size.

The 1st sample seemed a bit large when carried on the shoulder or by hand, but by making it a size smaller, I think it's now a perfect size for crossbody or shoulder carry.
It's designed to securely store common items like an iPad (10.9 inches).
As a change, since the width and height were reduced, the outer zipper pocket is also shorter.
Also, there are changes to the interior, so I will introduce those as well.
First, the leather loop, which had a magnet in the 1st sample, was a bit too short, so we changed it to a more generous length.

Therefore, it is designed not to dent oddly when closed.
Also, we changed the placement of the interior pockets.
In the first sample, the leather strap was placed a bit lower, but in this sample, it's at the same height as the leather strap, giving it a neater design.

Furthermore, the pocket width was slightly narrowed.
The 1st sample had excess lining, but this has been improved in the current sample.
We plan to continue making adjustments while slightly reducing the dimensions.
Also, we added a bottom plate to prevent the lining from coming out when taking items in and out.
When an iPad is actually inserted, it fits securely and can be firmly held in place by the loop.
However, I felt that narrowing the zipper pocket made it a bit harder to put things in and take them out, so for the next sample, we are considering changing it to a flat pocket without a zipper, making it more expandable and easier to use.

The usability of the outer pocket remains unchanged, so we believe it's fine as is.
Next, I'll introduce the size when worn.

First, when carried by hand, the size feels just right.
It's like the Zip Mini Tote turned vertically to that width.

When carried on the shoulder, the strap is set to a shorter length, so I think a single-shoulder carry style feels better than a crossbody one.

However, you can also adjust the strap length to extend it down to about your waist.
If you make it even longer, you can wear it crossbody without any issues.
However, if the strap is made too long, it will hang down excessively, so if this is a concern, we recommend removing the strap and storing it inside the bag.
That's all for the wearing comfort.
How was it?
This time, I introduced the 2nd sample of the 2-way square bag.
Personally, I feel that the size when worn has become quite comfortable.
Regarding the usability of the interior pockets, there are some areas that are a bit difficult to use, so we will change the specifications and continue to improve the bag to make it even more stress-free to use.
