[Rapid growth!] The total number of staff members has exceeded 50!

Hello! This is HushTug's Hariuna.

Despite the impact of COVID-19, we have been able to steadily increase sales, and last month in September, monthly sales finally exceeded 1,000 units, which we are very happy about.

As sales in Japan increase, the Mongolian workshop will have to work even harder. In this blog, I would like to talk about how the Mongolian workshop has changed over the past few months as production has increased, focusing in particular on the sudden increase in the number of employees.

First

The whole world is in turmoil due to the effects of COVID-19, and many companies are suffering particularly large economic losses.

Mongolia is also experiencing major impacts in real time, with businesses going bust, sales falling, and unemployment increasing.

In the midst of all this, by combining the strengths of the HushTug Japanese team, the production volume of the Mongolian workshop has increased dramatically, which has resulted in a rapid increase in the number of employees, allowing the company to grow. I am personally very happy that we are able to contribute to Mongolian society by increasing employment.

Maybe your workspace is running out of space?
* May 2020: Just after expanding and relocating from 144m2 to 840m2

The Mongolian workshop moved in May of this year, and it has now been about five months since the move. How much has HushTug grown in those five months?

When we first moved in, we were only able to fill a quarter of the studio, and the studio owner was actually worried, saying, "Isn't this too big for you?" (laughs)

Now, five months later, thanks to the increase in the number of craftsmen and machinery, the workshop is now about three-quarters full.

We installed sewing machines, machinery, materials, and shelves for storing bags, and also built a kitchen and employee cafeteria so that employees can work comfortably. We also equipped it with a rest room, so it has become a very comfortable working environment in Mongolia ^^

If we continue to grow at this rate, we won't have enough space for our workshop, so we'll have to look for a second workshop next spring.

I couldn't hide my surprise at the thought, "A second workshop already?!"

Suddenly we have more employees!

Five months ago, we had only 13 craftsmen and four managers, but since we moved, we have been hiring new staff every month, and now our total team has grown to about 50 people.

As we grew, we established the Human Resources Department and General Affairs Department, and I feel like we are finally starting to look like a company. As an aside, from August to October this year was the busiest time of my life (bitter smile).

*This is a group photo.
As an aside, here is some information about the employees at the workshop:

Average age: 24
46% male, 54% female
Youngest employee: 18 years old
Oldest employee: 35 years old

Something like that.
*We are now able to form many volleyball teams within the company alone.

lastly

During job interviews for craftsmen, I heard many people in their 20s who were struggling financially, saying things like, "I'm not getting paid as promised at my current workplace," or "I want to go to college but can't," and this gave me a renewed sense of the dire economic situation in Mongolia.

At HushTug, we actively hire people who have a strong desire to take on a challenge, regardless of their educational background, such as college degree.

Currently, 90% of our craftsmen are in their 20s. With this youthful energy, we will continue to work hard towards our original vision of "creating a new industry in Mongolia."

In the next blog I would like to introduce a young and talented craftsman.

Thank you for reading to the end today!

素晴らしいですね。何か成長している企業、お金を稼いで学びたいという、あまりにも純粋な経済循環環境に少し憧れます。
