[Product size] How does it look when held by a woman?
Hello! This is Onda from HushTug.
Recently, I'm happy to say that I've been getting more and more questions from women asking, "Can women carry your products?"
Because it is a men's brand, the photos on the online store are of the product being held by a man, so it may be difficult to imagine what it will look like when you hold it.
So this time, we'd like to actually take a look at the size when held by a woman!

This time, we will introduce three products that women might also use but whose sizes can be difficult to grasp: a leather tote, a leather backpack, and a square backpack.
We will post photos of a woman actually holding the bag, but these are of a woman who is 158cm tall. By seeing the difference in height between her and me (X cm difference in height ), you can get a better idea of how it will feel when you hold it.
1. Leather tote
First of all, let's look at the size of the leather tote when you hold it.
People usually hold it differently, and the impression it gives varies too.
So,
- When held in hand
- When worn on the elbow
- When worn over the shoulder
I tried holding it in a different way.
(1) When held in the hand
The handles on HushTug's leather tote are long, so when you hold it in your hand, you may be concerned about whether it will touch the ground.
Looking at the photo above, it looks like if you're 158cm tall, it wouldn't even touch the ground even if you held it in your hand.
However, there is not much room. Therefore, if you slouch or tilt your center of gravity too much toward the side you are holding the leather tote, it may scrape against the ground. Also, if you are short, you may scrape against the ground when you hold it, so you should be careful about how you hold it.
In terms of size, I think you'll find it's not as uncomfortable as you might think. When I first held it, I thought, "No problem at all. It's fine!" (laughs)
(2) When worn on the elbow
Many women hold it on their elbow.
The size gives the impression that you are carrying a slightly larger bag than when you hold it in your hand.
(3) When worn over the shoulder
When you put a lot of things in a large-capacity bag, it can become heavy. In such cases, many people carry it on their shoulders. This is often the case when commuting to work or traveling for work.
The size doesn't seem as pronounced as when it was hanging on my elbow. It feels the same as when I hold it in my hand.
The leather tote is a little large
In the case of leather totes, they may feel a little large, but they don't look strange. If you have a lot of luggage, you'll often see people carrying bags of this size on the streets, so it's not unusual.
The appearance may also change depending on the volume of your clothing.
When you hold it in your hand, it's close to your shoes, and when you carry it on your shoulder, it's on the bulge of your jacket. But when you hold it on your elbow, it's on your feet, which is in contrast to the thinner parts of your body, so you might think it's a little big.
The impression of the size may vary slightly depending on what outfit you wear with it. It might be a good idea to check the size while thinking about your usual outfit.
2. Leather backpack
Next, let’s take a look at leather backpacks.
The leather backpack has a rounded design, which gives it a slightly cute look and I think it would be fine for a woman to carry it.
Here's a look from the back and the side.
(1) From behind
I think it's just the right size!
The width is not too wide and it doesn't look too big, so it doesn't feel strange.
(2) From the side
Even when viewed from the side, the size doesn't look strange. The leather backpack is currently the widest of all HushTug products, and it also has a front pocket, so it's wide, but that doesn't seem to be a problem.
Leather backpacks are just right
Leather backpacks look just right and will not look out of place when used by women.
However, it is not a small mini backpack,
- I have a lot of luggage and want to keep both hands free.
- There's so much luggage that it would be tiring to carry it by hand...
It might come in handy at times like this.
3. Square Backpack
Lastly, we have the square backpack.
The square backpack is long vertically and has a good width. What will it look like on a woman's back?
Let's take a look at it from the back and the side as well.
(1) From behind
From behind, it looks a little too big. It looks more natural when viewed from a slight angle, so maybe it looks bigger because it's wider.
It's not exactly unsightly, but someone looking at it might think, "That's a big bag."
(2) From the side
When viewed from the side, neither the vertical length nor the width of the gusset appears too large, so it doesn't look strange.
If that's the case, the width seems to be what makes it feel like a large backpack.
Square backpacks are large in size
I wondered if a square backpack would be too big for a woman to carry.
However, I don't think the size is so awkward or weird that it doesn't fit me well. So, it might be good for people who like larger sizes.
I think if my laptop was 15 inches, I might have used a square backpack.
4. Summary
This time, we introduced the size when held by a woman.
The images and impressions are based on my own subjective opinions. Also, the image may differ depending on the height, weight, clothing, etc. of the person holding it, so I hope you will use it as a guideline.
Thank you for reading to the end!
