Some people may be using paid leave to enjoy a 10-day holiday from April 29th to May 8th.

And when it comes to Golden Week, I think a lot of people will be enjoying outdoor activities and sightseeing!

So, with Golden Week just around the corner, I'd like to introduce some recommended spots.
I hope this will be helpful for those who haven't decided where to go yet!

Also, taking into consideration the impact of COVID-19, we have focused on outdoor spots where crowding is less likely to occur.

4 Recommended Spots for Golden Week

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, it has become difficult to travel.
However, spending the long holiday at home alone would feel no different from any other holiday, and I would end up just lazing around.

This time, taking into consideration the impact of COVID-19, we will introduce some spots that are less likely to be crowded during Golden Week.
Since it's a long holiday, why not try refreshing yourself in an open space!

1. Cherry Blossoms at Goryokaku Park (Hokkaido)

Goryokaku Park is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Hakodate.
Hokkaido's cherry blossoms reach full bloom every year around Golden Week, making them the best viewing time.

Furthermore, the view from the observation deck at Goryokaku Tower is spectacular, with a panoramic view of the pink-tinted park, so we highly recommend it!

At night, the park is lit up, allowing you to enjoy the cherry blossoms at night.

2. Forest and Starry Sky Camping Village [Tochigi Prefecture]

Forest and Starry Sky Camp Village is a glamping spot where you can enjoy the starry sky.

Tents are set up on a spacious, open site, allowing you to enjoy the abundant nature.
Since it is an outdoor facility, it is less likely to become crowded, and there are restrictions on the number of people allowed in as part of coronavirus prevention measures, so it is reassuring.

This facility offers a variety of activities, including BBQs and attractions that are perfect for families with small children, making it a spot that can be enjoyed by people of all ages, from adults to children.

3. Izu Oshima [Tokyo]

This is a recommended spot for those who want to escape the crowds of the city but don't want to go far away.
There are various ways to get to Izu Oshima, but the quickest way to get to the island is from Chofu Airport, which takes about 30 minutes.

The circumference of the island is only about 40km, so we recommend taking a leisurely cycle tour while enjoying the natural scenery.
There are also many spots where you can experience natural hot springs, diving, and horse riding, making it the perfect spot for those who want to relax in nature.

4. Niyodo River [Kochi Prefecture]

The Niyodo River in Kochi Prefecture is also known as Niyodo Blue, and its crystal clear blue water is rumored to be the cleanest in Japan.

The clear kayaking experience on this crystal clear river allows you to enjoy a leisurely stroll on the water.
There are also places where you can swim in the river and have a BBQ, so it's a recommended spot for those who want to spend some relaxing time in nature!

Why not take it easy once in a while?

What did you think?

This time, we introduced some recommended spots for Golden Week.
I would be happy if there was at least one place that you would like to visit.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it's difficult to go out and take a break as much as you'd like, but try to avoid crowds and spend some time relaxing in nature every once in a while to refresh yourself!

Thank you for reading to the end this time as well.
