This time, we will introduce in detail the new "Gamaguchi Wallet," which has finally been decided to go on sale, from the background of its development to the attention to detail, usability, and storage capacity.

This is a model whose prototype has been shown on YouTube several times, and we have received many requests and expectations for it in the comments.

In this article, we will take a deeper look at the appeal of the clasp wallet , which was created through repeated trial and error to achieve a more beautiful finish than previous samples.

How we came to develop the clasp wallet

Existing smart wallets can also be used as coin purses, but this new clasp wallet has been redesigned from scratch and developed as a coin purse .

When you hear the term "gamaguchi" (clasp purse), most people probably imagine the classic shape with a round knob on top.

However, HushTug has adopted a "grooved type" that has no knobs and has a flat finish .

We asked our partner workshop and spent about a year searching for a craftsman before finally bringing the product to market .

About the leather used for the clasp wallet

Himeji leather is used for both the exterior and interior.

The leather used this time is the same supple and soft leather as HushTug's drawstring leather bags .

The interior is also made of leather, so even if it gets dirty with coins, you can wipe it clean and keep it clean .

The HushTug logo is also on the interior and is stamped in silver foil .

How a clasp wallet opens and closes

The clasp wallet is designed to open when you press the fastener on the back and push it up from the bottom.

Unlike the typical knob type, it can be opened and closed easily with just your fingertips.

Some people may find it confusing at first, but once you get used to it, you can operate it quickly with one hand.

About the storage feel of a clasp wallet

Banknotes can also fit if folded in four . 10,000 yen bills will get pinched a little on the side, but they can still be stored.
