[First attempt] We are creating a new product, a sacoche, in collaboration with a customer!

Hello!
He is the musician for HushTug.

Have you ever thought, "I'd like to make a product like this" or "I wish I could be involved in the development of a bag product"?

In fact, HushTug is currently developing new products in collaboration with our customers.

The product is a sacoche.

Pre-orders are scheduled to begin in early to mid-July.

This time, we would like to show you how product planning with customers is carried out!

1st meeting: Planning meeting

The first planning meeting was held around mid-May, and we met offline, but those who were unable to attend in person were able to join online via Zoom.

What kind of design would you like to have in a sacoche? What belongings would you put in it? How much would you be willing to pay to buy it? We asked each person questions and exchanged opinions.

By the way, a while ago I posted on YouTube a video of what the first Sacoche planning meeting was like.

Some of you may have already seen it, but if you haven't, you can check it out here.

2nd meeting: Planning meeting

The second planning meeting was held recently.

Based on the opinions and requests received from the customer at the first meeting, we had completed both vertical and horizontal sample products, and we then proceeded with the meeting in a way that allowed us to fine-tune the products while having the customer actually look at the samples.

(A sample of a vertical sacoche: commonly known as Tatesh)

(Horizontal sacoche: commonly known as Yokosh)

As an aside, we call vertical sacoches "tatesh" and horizontal sacoches "yokosh". lol

The second planning meeting was also recently posted on YouTube, so if you haven't seen it yet, we would be delighted if you could take a look.

Unlike the first meeting, this time we have posted the customers' opinions directly on video, so you can get a good idea of how the meeting proceeded.

As you can see by watching the video, the customers who participated not only gave their opinions from the perspective of "what kind of sacoche I want," but also from the perspective of "what kind of sacoche is typical of HushTug."

As a result, even though it was only a short hour, we were able to clearly define what kind of product we should create and set a firm direction...!

To digress a little, hearing the opinions of our customers in person was a great learning experience, as we learned things such as, "We were concerned about things, but our customers were surprisingly not that concerned," and conversely, "Customers were concerned about things that we didn't care about at all."

lastly

How was it?

This is our first attempt at product development in collaboration with a customer, so we are very much looking forward to it!

The third sample of the sacoche is scheduled to be completed within the next week.
I'll report back once it's completed!

Thank you for reading to the end this time as well!
