[Introducing new product samples!] Small item samples created this year

Hello! This is Nakajima from HushTug.

Recently, I have been creating samples of various items in preparation for new product development.

This time we will introduce some samples of new products that we have been creating since this year!
Some of you may have already seen some samples posted on Instagram, but I'll introduce them all together here.

New product samples being made this year

In 2020, I mainly created briefcase samples, which I introduced in my previous blog, so this time I will introduce the samples I have created since the beginning of 2021 in order.

I've presented them in the order in which they were made, so as you go down the stitching gets better and better, and the finished product is surprisingly high. I hope you'll take a look at that as well.

1. Pencil case

I made a pencil case that I can use at work.
When creating the pen case, the most difficult thing for me was deciding on the design.

There are many different brands of pen cases available, and they come in a variety of materials and shapes.
Among them, I wanted to create a design that would be easy to use in business situations, so I created a triangular pen case.

By creating a gusset in the pen case, the storage capacity is increased, and by extending the zipper of the opening further out, it is easier to take things in and out!

I've been using it for about a month and a half to see how the sample feels, but it feels a little too big for me since I only carry around two or three pens.
It seems that there are many areas that need to be improved in the future, such as reviewing the size and simplifying the appearance.

2. PC case (for MacBook only)

Previously, I was using a case (plastic one) that could be attached to the PC.
I found it extremely useful as it allowed me to change the overall colour of my PC and protect it, however after using it for a long time the corners started to chip and the paint started to peel off so I ended up removing it.

Until recently, I used it without any case, but I took this opportunity to make a leather case for it!

The lining of the PC case is made of the same brushed material as the leather tote, so it slides smoothly and allows you to store your PC inside smoothly.
Also, because it is made from grained leather, scratches on the surface of the case are less noticeable, so it seems like it will last a long time.

However, it is a little heavy as it is made using thicker leather.
Since it is made from genuine leather, it is inevitable that it will be a little heavy, but when we officially release it we will try to make the leather even thinner so that the entire case will be lighter!

3. Large pouch

Customers who purchased our square pouch said, "I want a pouch that's a size bigger than the square pouch!" So we made a pouch that's a size bigger!

The design is made to look the same as a business bag to create a unified look, and the size is about 1.5 times the size of the square pouch.

The pouch has four pockets on both sides for storing small items.
It's quite large, so it can also be used as a gadget pouch , makeup pouch , or travel pouch .

Personally, I think it would be fine to release it as is, but since it was made on a whim, there are still many areas that can be improved, such as finding the right size that only becomes clear through use, or reducing the number of parts to make it simpler.

lastly

How was it?

The quality of the samples is still not as high as those made by Mongolian craftsmen, but we are able to test the size and feel of the products, so we will continue to make improvements and test various patterns!

Recently I have been making a lot of samples of small items, but I also have plans to create bags such as shoulder bags.
Once the samples have been created to a certain extent, I will introduce them on my blog and Instagram, so I hope you will take a look.

Thank you for reading to the end this time as well.
