[Introducing our staff's favorite products] We'll show you how our leather tote felt after using it for a year!

Hello! This is HushTug.

Here are some of the favorite items of HushTug staff.
This time, we asked our staff member Takahashi to tell us about his favorite product, the "Leather Tote Black."

(Leather Tote Black / Usage history: about 1 year)

What made you start using leather totes?

When the handles of this leather tote were not yet double-stitched, a customer requested a replacement as the handle had come off, and the item was returned.

At the time, the handle had only been sewn once and was less durable than the products on the market now.
With the intention of strengthening the handles, we decided to repair this bag and start using it as an example of how to strengthen the handles.

I asked Onda-san, who is in charge of customer support, to repair the handle. The stitching is a little crooked, but it's still in good condition after about a year of use, so I'm very grateful!

Nowadays, the handles are double-stitched as standard, making them much more durable than they used to be.

In what situations do you use it?

I use it almost every day, whether at work or on weekends, and it's extremely useful as it can be used in any situation!

In the past, I used to use different bags for work and for my days off, but it was a hassle to always have to switch between things I use in both situations, like my wallet and smartphone charger, and I would often forget to switch them out and realize I had lost my wallet when I got to work (laughs).

Now I use a leather tote for both purposes, so I don't have to switch it out and I don't forget things.

What kind of things do you put in it?

This is the luggage I always carry with me:

Notebook PC
PC peripherals, perfume, smartphone chargers, wallets, business card holders

And many more...
I keep my PC peripherals in a "square pouch."

You also use a square pouch!

I agree.
It keeps the contents of your bag neat and tidy by organizing all the cords that tend to get tangled together in one place.

I recommend it for people who are not good at organizing things like me.

What is your favorite part?

What I like about the bag is that it can stand on its own, depending on how you pack it.
Because this is a genuine leather product, it will become harder to stand on its own as the leather becomes more comfortable and soft, but even after using it for about a year, it is still able to stand on its own.

Even after a year, it is still independent!
Are there any tips to maintain your independence?

There are two key points to maintaining your independence.

1. Don't take out heavy luggage when you get home
2. Hang it up when not in use, not on the floor

I make sure to put these two things into practice when I get home.

Regarding point 1, if you leave heavy items inside the bag, it will develop a bend on one side, causing the entire bag to become distorted, shifting the center of gravity and making it difficult to stand upright.

2. I store the bag hanging rather than on the floor to correct any misalignment in the center of gravity and to remove any wrinkles in the bag.
Placing the bag on the floor puts stress on the corners of the bag, which can cause wrinkles and distortion.
If you want to keep your item in its new shape for as long as possible, try this out!

summary

This time we introduced the leather tote that HushTug staff member Takahashi loves to use.

After using it for a year, the good qualities of genuine leather products come out, such as a different shine than a new item, as well as unique wrinkles and quirks!

Of course, the way it gets used to you and the time it takes to soften will vary depending on the user.
Have fun creating your own genuine leather item.

Thank you for reading to the end!
