[Mongolia → Japan] How HushTug products reach customers!
Hello! I'm Onda from HushTug!
As many of you may already know, HushTug is a leather brand that manufactures its products in a factory in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia.
There are many blogs about product production in Mongolia, and Japanese staff often give explanations about the finished products.
However, the goods take about a month to travel from Mongolia to Japan.
So, this time we'd like to introduce you to something that doesn't usually get much attention: the process from when HushTug products reach the customer!
Shipped from our factory in Mongolia
Products produced in the factory undergo inspection and other processes and are stored until the beginning of the following month.
By the way, each product has more than 30 inspection items, and they inspect it a total of three times at each stage!
Only products that pass rigorous inspection are packed and loaded onto trucks.
Shipments are generally made once a month, and the bed of a large truck is filled with HushTug products!
Once the goods are loaded onto the truck, the month-long journey across countries and oceans begins.
By train to China
Previously, goods were transported by plane from Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, but due to the impact of COVID-19, the number of flights has decreased.
In addition, as production volume has increased, we now deliver our products to Japan by both rail and sea.
The goods transported by the trucks are loaded into 20-40 foot containers.
The train loaded with cargo departs from Ulaanbaatar for the Chinese port city of Tianjin!

By the way, the railway to China runs through vast deserts and grasslands.
Although it may be a different route from this freight car, once the coronavirus situation has calmed down, we also recommend traveling to Mongolia on the famous Trans-Siberian Railway!
From Tianjin (China) to Japan by ship
After completing the rail journey, the containers with the goods are transported to the port and loaded onto cargo ships.
After a long voyage on a cargo ship, we finally arrive in Japan!
It is currently being transported to Yokohama Port.
From the port to the logistics warehouse and to the customer
Once the goods arrive at the port, they go through customs clearance and other procedures before being sent to a logistics warehouse in the Kanto region that is affiliated with HushTug .
They are sorted one by one in the warehouse...
Once packed into a cardboard box to be delivered to the customer...
Each one will be delivered to the customer.
As of April 2021 when this blog was written, there are still many products on pre-order and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
All the HushTug staff would like to thank all our customers who have purchased our product or are considering purchasing one.
Of course, at HushTug we will continue to do our best to deliver products to our customers as quickly as possible, but we hope that by learning about the behind-the-scenes delivery process that we have introduced in this blog, you will feel even more attached to the products we deliver!
Thank you for reading to the end!
