Identifying a problem from customer feedback

Before we tell you about its features and the attention to detail we paid to it, let me explain why we decided to create a vertical tote bag.

From a customer who previously purchased a conventional leather tote

"My current tote bag is convenient for work or business trips because it can hold a lot of stuff, but when I don't have much to carry, it's too bulky and I end up with too much space."

"I want to use a tote bag for my personal time, but I don't carry that much stuff, so it's too big for me."

We have received comments such as the following.

The leather totes we currently sell are designed to hold a lot of belongings so that they can be used for both work and personal use, but some customers felt that the bags were too large.

We wondered if we could solve this problem, and decided to create a smart tote bag that was different from the leather totes that were available until now, for customers who "don't carry much luggage but still want to use a tote bag."

Vertical tote bag features

When creating this vertical tote bag, we didn't just make a conventional tote bag vertical. We aimed to create the ultimate smart and affordable bag, so we did a lot of research into the length of the gusset and handles, and the aspect ratio of the height and width.

And this is the finished product.

This is the first sample.
Although there are some minor internal modifications, I feel that the exterior is very well-finished.

The main differences between this and conventional tote bags are as follows:

・The zipper is missing

・The gusset (depth) has been reduced to less than half.

- The handle has been shortened slightly

-Zipper pocket is gone
