[2nd body bag sample completed!] A look behind the scenes at sample production!
Hello, this is HushTug's Hariuna!
Today we will be introducing the second sample of the body bag and explaining the production background of this new product.
When developing new products, the Japanese team proposes all detailed information such as design, size, and parts to the Mongolian workshop, and then they proceed with production in consultation as needed.
Since it is not possible to complete a sample on the first proposal, the final sample is completed after approximately 3 to 4 rounds of refinements.
If we are satisfied with both the design and functionality, and the Japanese team members actually use it and find no problems, it will be commercialized.
Now, let's take a look at the improvements made to the 2nd sample!
Share improvements
In fact, last month we made the first sample of a body bag in our Mongolian workshop and sent it to Japan.
The Japanese team will then look at the actual product and identify areas for improvement, after which they will discuss the matter again in Mongolia and continue making improvements.
(Body bag 1st sample)
We will have Mr. Fleury, our technical director, check the technical aspects and then implement the improvement proposals from the Japanese side.

Creating a pattern in AutoCAD
Simply put, a pattern is a blueprint for making a product.
Patterns are often made by drawing them out on paper, but we use a computer tool called "CAD" to avoid making any small mistakes in size.
(Background to the creation of CAD)
Paper pattern creation
Once the CAD pattern is complete, it is transferred to paper.
Paper patterns are used when making existing products such as tote bags and backpacks, and we also use paper patterns when ordering blade dies to cut leather for mass-produced bags.

Introducing the improvement procedure
We will explain the four major changes from the 1st sample.
Improvement point 1: Increase the size of the gusset
The gusset is sewn in the image above. It is about 30% wider than the 1st sample.
By making it wider, we aim to increase storage capacity.
Improvement point 2: Increase the range of motion of the zipper
We made the zipper a little longer so that it can expand more than the first sample.
It can be opened wide from both sides, making it easy to load and unload luggage.
Improvement point 3: Improved design of the zipper on the back
I tried adding two zippers to the back to increase the storage capacity at the back, but the design is a bit off, so I will probably change it in the next improvement (lol).
Improvement point 4: Shoulder straps are now made of leather
The shoulder strap is also made of leather, giving it a luxurious feel.
And the second sample is complete!

Finally, production is complete and the samples are beautifully finished!
It's easier to use than before, and it's now fully leather, so it looks even cooler than the first sample! ♡
I was watching from the side and taking pictures the whole time, and I thought it was a really great experience!
Then we will ship it to Japan right away.
This time I wrote this article hoping to convey at least some of the improvements made to the 2nd sample and the production background.
If we make further improvements and create a third sample, we'll introduce it to you again!
We will continue to work hard to create many new products!
