Hello, I'm Nakajima, a designer at HushTug.
This time, I'd like to introduce someleather care products you can use at home.
While leather care products are displayed at the Ikebukuro main store, they are not available for purchase there.
I will also include some reference products that can be purchased online, so please check them out.
1. Horsehair brush
Purpose: A soft horsehair brush that can be used on bags and shoes.
Features: Ideal for removing dust and dirt from bags. Can also be used on shoes, but mainly for bag care.
How to use: Simply brush the surface for care.
2. Delicate cream
/Purpose: For use on dry leather.
Features: A light oil that prevents sliminess and stains. Can also be used on the tanned leather of leather products and accessories used with hashtags.
Caution: When using on tanned leather, apply a small amount at a time as over-application may cause stains.
3. Aniline cream (for tanned leather)
Purpose: For use on smooth leather (calf leather) with few irregularities on the surface.
Features: A cream suitable for smooth surfaces, which prevents leather from drying out. Ideal for leather with few surface irregularities.
4. Protection cream (for cordovan)
Purpose: Ideal for shell cordovan containing a lot of oil.
Features: By using it on cordovan leather, which easily absorbs water, it prevents drying and fluffing of the fibers.
How to use: Gently apply the cream along the grain to flatten the fibers.
5. Stain Cleansing Water (for stain removal)
Purpose: Cleansing to remove dirt from the leather surface (especially chrome-tanned leather).
Features: For use on parts that easily get dirty from hand oil and sweat, such as bag handles. Especially effective once a month in summer.
How to use: Use a small amount to gently wipe off the dirty area.
Caution: Can easily cause stains if used on vegetable-tanned leather.
6. Recoloring cream (for color replenishment)
Purpose: Cream to replenish color on scuffed areas of bags.
Features: Can be easily used on black leather, but color adjustment is required for navy and gray.
How to use: Adjust to the desired color and apply to the scuffed area.
7. Waterproof spray (by Collonil)
Purpose: Waterproof spray for shoes and bags.
Features: Can be used on a wide range of leather products, but waterproof sprays specifically for shoes are not suitable for bags.
How to use: Spray evenly on bags and jackets.
