[The new leather backpack is finally complete!] We will introduce the 3-month manufacturing process.

Hello!
He is the musician for HushTug.

We have previously announced that some products will be discontinued and undergo minor changes, but we have finally completed our leather backpack.

The release date is this Saturday (11/26).

This leather backpack took about three months to complete, with three samples made.

So today I would like to show you how this leather backpack came to be.

In fact, up until now, I've been introducing samples on YouTube every time they were completed, so I've posted a total of three videos about minor changes.

However, I thought that there might be some people who haven't seen it yet, and that watching three videos might be a bit tiring, so I combined the three videos into one video. (It takes about 20 minutes to watch.)

If you watch this video, you will be able to see how the product has grown since the first sample.

It has evolved quite a bit since the first sample, so I hope you will keep that in mind when watching...!

If you would like to see the completed videos of each sample, please watch the videos attached below.

1st sample completed

The first sample of the leather backpack was completed in late September this year.

I remember that we held thorough product development meetings within the company and worked closely with craftsmen to create the product, in order to solve the issues faced by our leather backpack users.

However, to be honest, the finished product wasn't what I would call a cool backpack.
There were also many issues with small details, such as "Do we really need a zipper on the back?"

We received very kind comments from our customers (viewers) and after much internal discussion, we set about producing the second sample.

2nd sample

The 2nd sample is a completely different evolution from the 1st sample.

but,

・The core material is too thick to be mass-produced

Difficult to store a PC

There were still some minor issues that needed to be fixed.

We will make corrections to invisible details, such as the way the core material is attached, but we will continue to make improvements without compromising.

3rd sample

While eliminating the issues we had with the second sample, we also made bold changes to the surface design.

It is no exaggeration to say that the 3rd sample is almost complete, but the final product will include further updates to the finer details.

We will be introducing the finished product in detail tomorrow, so please look forward to it.

lastly

How was it?

There aren't many brands that share their product development process, including failures, so this may have been refreshing.

At HushTug, we hope to introduce the process of how a bag is made, and to convey to everyone the collaboration between artisans and bag designers, and the attention to detail that goes into making a bag.

Finally, we will be providing more information about the leather backpack tomorrow, so please wait a little longer...!

Thank you for reading to the end today.
