[Recent news at our Mongolian factory] We all had a picnic & our production team has grown!

Hello! This is HushTug's Hariuna.

How are you all doing in Japan? It's been getting warmer in Mongolia recently, and it feels like summer has finally arrived.

It snowed a lot in May and rained a lot in June, so it was very cold, but I'm hoping it will be warmer in July.

Now, I would like to write about the recent situation at our Mongolian factory.

Coronavirus information in Mongolia

People in Japan may not know this, but the number of coronavirus infections in Mongolia has been increasing significantly recently.

The reason why this situation arose is that the presidential election was held in June .

I personally think that the large number of people gathering there is what has caused the coronavirus situation to become so bad.

Around 1,000 to 2,000 new cases are discovered each day, which is a huge number considering that Mongolia's population is around 3 million.

Although the situation remains difficult, we want to continue tackling various issues and taking on new challenges through HushTug without letting COVID-19 get the better of us.

A long awaited picnic

On a different note, we had a picnic together as a company for the first time in a year.

Vaccinations are progressing faster in Mongolia than in Japan, so the picnic was only for those who have been vaccinated.

After about six months of lockdown due to the coronavirus, we were finally able to have a picnic.

This time it's not just a picnic, it's a celebration of successfully completing production!

As we were able to achieve our goal, it was a pleasant event that everyone could enjoy.

It was cloudy that day, with occasional rain. We found a patch of grass along the river where we could pitch a tent, and started our picnic.

I was impressed to see the employees taking the initiative to do everything themselves: someone lighting the fire, someone preparing the food, someone making tea.

I was in charge of thinking up games for everyone to play.

When playing the game, we split into four teams (each with about nine people), and I was surprised to notice that there were a lot more people than last year.

The number of people has increased recently, so there are still a few people whose names I don't know.

I feel like the company is growing.

*Khorkhog (steamed lamb and vegetables) made on the prairie. It was delicious!

The factory production team has grown

Starting in July, we will be adding another team to our Production Department.

Our staff has increased to nine people at once, and they will now be learning sewing techniques and more.

To achieve this, we decided to select one of our current craftsmen to try his hand at being a teacher for the new team.

I am currently preparing for study sessions and practicing.

We are also taking on many new challenges, such as recruiting, preparing machinery, and assembling tables for the new team, but we are all working hard.

In June, we are still busy fighting against the coronavirus and preparing for the new team.

I'm looking forward to many things happening in July, such as dealing with the new team, the Mongolian festival Naadam, and television filming, although I can't go into details yet.

It's going to be a very busy July.
