Introducing our new employees!

Hello!

This is HushTug's Hariuna!

happy new year!
We look forward to your continued support of HushTug this year.

As this is the first blog of the new year, I would like to talk about my "goals for 2020" in the first half and introduce our "new employees" in the second half.

HushTug Studio 2020 Goals

In 2019, we were able to achieve our goal of becoming a workshop capable of producing 500 products per month, and we are happy that we are gradually becoming a leather workshop.

We have been able to produce more than we did when HushTug was first created, but production numbers are still not keeping up with orders, so it feels like we've finally gotten to the starting line.

For 2020, our goal is to have a workshop that can produce 1,500 pieces per month.

We hired more new craftsmen last year, but many of them are inexperienced and their technical skills are still immature compared to those with experience.
In the first half of this year, we aim to focus on providing technical training to new craftsmen and putting effort into improving their individual skills. We will also work hard to increase overall production numbers so that we can produce more than the number of orders.

By the way, the workshop's slogan for this year is

" Be kind to others, be strict with yourself, and rely on others occasionally ."

This is because last year there were many instances where I was kind to myself and strict with others.

However, because everyone in the workshop is so honest, I can be too hard on myself, so I added that to balance things out, I sometimes rely on others.

I feel that this also includes the meaning of educating craftsmen, which is this year's goal.

The HushTug workshop will continue to work hard to deliver many products to many customers this year, so we hope you will continue to support us.

Assistant Nala-chan

I would like to introduce our new employees now.

The number of employees has increased significantly over the last year, and I've been able to hire an assistant!

I'm really happy!

Today I'd like to introduce my assistant and new employee, Nala-chan!
I would like to introduce Nala-chan in an interview format.

Hariuna
Nala-chan, starting this month we'll be introducing our employees on the blog, so is it okay if I tell you a little about them?
I would like you to tell me a little about yourself and what kind of work you do.
Nalaar
This is my first interview so I'm a little nervous, but I'll do my best (laughs).
thank you!
Hariuna
thank you!
So, please introduce yourself!
Nalaar
Hello everyone! I'm Nalaar!
I've been working at HushTug for about two months now.
I have experience working in Japan, so I can speak a little bit of Japanese!
Hariuna
oh!
I'm happy that there are more and more people in the workshop who can speak Japanese!

Hariuna
Let's get started with the first question.
What was your first impression when you started working at HushTug?
Nalaar
The company culture is based on "continuing to take on new challenges," and I felt that there was a lot of energy among the young people.
I wanted to work for this company.
Hariuna
surely!
There are a lot of them these days, as they are focusing on recruiting young people in particular!
Nalaar
That's right!
I was surprised to see so many people around my age.
Hariuna
Now, next question!
What kind of work did you do before joining HushTug?
Nalaar
Before joining HushTug, I was the workshop manager at a camping workshop in Japan.
Hariuna
amazing!
So you can speak a little Japanese.
How long were you in Japan?
Nalaar
I worked there for about 3 years!
I'm happy to be able to work in a job that involves Japan again (laughs).
Hariuna
That's about the same as me!
I totally understand that (laughs).
I've grown to love Japan even more since I went there! I want to go back again!
Nalaar
I want to go again!
Hariuna
Now, next question!
What was your first job at HushTug?
Nalaar
I first joined HushTug as a craftsman, doing things like assembling products and cleaning the finished products.

(Actual work scene)

Hariuna
Nala-chan is very careful with her work and is a great help!
Nalaar
thank you!
In my previous job, I sewed fabric products for camping, so I can sew products, but unlike fabric, it is hard, so it was difficult to get used to it at first.
Hariuna
It seems difficult at first.
Why did you decide to become an assistant?
Nalaar
I joined HushTug because I liked their corporate culture of "continuing to take on challenges," so I also wanted to take on new challenges, so I applied for the assistant position!
Hariuna
Nala-chan is quick to learn her job and it's a great help!
At first, we are asking them to inspect the products and manage the materials used, but eventually we would like them to communicate with our employees in Japan too! (laughs)
Nalaar
thank you!
I would like to try it in the future, but although I can understand Japanese, I am still not very good at speaking it! (laughs)
Nalaar
Are there any tips to improve my Japanese?
Hariuna
Hmm...
If you talk to Kawada-san a lot, you'll be able to speak it (laughs).
I guess if I use it regularly I'll gradually get better at it.
Nalaar
I see!
I'll try to use it regularly.
Hariuna
Finally, please give us a message for HushTug customers!
Nalaar
Thank you to everyone who has always supported me and bought my bags. I will do my best to create high-quality products that will not disappoint my customers.
Thank you for your continued support!
Hariuna
Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule, Nala-chan.
Nalaar
Thank you very much!
It was fun.

This time I introduced my assistant, Nala-chan.
We have had a lot of new people join us recently, so we will be introducing them on a regular basis.

Stay tuned!

HushTug Hurricane!
