Improving quality! Introducing product inspection work

Hello!

This is a HushTug Hariuner.

In this blog, I would like to talk about the quality control work we do in our Mongolian workshop to deliver high quality products.

In order to deliver high-quality products to our customers, our Mongolian workshop inspects each item three times before shipping: twice by our craftsmen and once by me.

Of course, since the products are carefully made by craftsmen and inspected twice, there are very few products with major problems.

However, because these are handmade products, the more we make, the more problems and mistakes there are during production.
To make sure we don't miss any such mistakes, we inspect the items one more time at the end.

I will introduce how we normally inspect products.

・First inspection: Inspection of parts

It takes many parts to make one bag, and each part is manufactured separately.
The finished parts are put together and sewn together to form a bag, but before that, a first inspection is carried out.
If there is a defect in a part after the bag is completed, it cannot be disassembled and re-sewn.
For this reason, we ask our craftsmen to perform a first inspection before assembling the parts.

If there is a problem with a part, we will replace only that part to create a bag, making efforts to minimize the production of defective products.

・Second inspection: Checking the finished product

Once the first inspection is complete, the bags are then manufactured.

The bag is not complete just by sewing each part together. We also do some post-sewing cleaning, such as tidying up the threads and removing the rubber glue.
Once the cleaning is finished, the bag will finally be inspected to ensure that it is made to perfection.
Only after the second inspection is the bag perfect.

・Third inspection Final inspection

The image below shows the completed second inspection.

In this condition, the product is received from the craftsman and moves on to final inspection.

Up to this point, our craftsmen inspect the products twice and only those that are deemed suitable for use as products are sent for final inspection.

During final inspection, we rank products as A, with perfect stitching, leather texture, scratches, etc., and B, with products that cannot be accepted as merchandise due to manufacturing errors or technical reasons .

Of course, the products we deliver to our customers are A-rank products.

Then, the A-ranked products are gathered together and the packaging process begins.
This is where the inspection process ends.

We are currently inspecting the products that were produced in December.
This was an introduction to the bags before they were completed and packed.

In the next blog, we will show you how the products are packaged and shipped to Japan after inspection is completed.

Stay tuned~
