Production Site Commentary Series: Business Bags

Hello!
This is Kawada from HushTug!
This time, I would like to introduce the features of HushTug's second business bag product and the ingenuity that went into its production.

HushTug business bags have five major features!
①Ultimate simplicity + luxury
Lots of inner pockets
3) Gusset size that allows the bag to stand up
Large capacity enough to store a 13-15 inch laptop
⑤Handle that is gentle on the hands
It's very similar to the previous blog post, "Tote bags: A series of explanations from the production site," but this is what we came up with in pursuit of simplicity and functionality.

①Ultimate simplicity + luxury

Just like the tote bag, the business bag does not use any metal fittings. However, since we think it will be used mostly in business situations, we wanted it to have a slightly more luxurious feel, so we added two features.

First of all, the biggest difference between this bag and a tote bag is that the zipper is slightly visible. In the case of a tote bag, the zipper is recessed so that it is completely hidden, but the business bag is made to be convex so that it can be seen. We use a gold zipper, so even if the zipper is slightly visible, it makes a big difference in the impression.

Next, we stuff the inside of the bag with a core material so that the connection part of the handle will expand. Some of you may think "What's that all about...?", but it's actually quite important. I've made a version without the core material, but it made the bag look flimsy.

Of course, the logo is not displayed on the front side.

② Lots of inner pockets

The inside pockets are the same as the tote bag. There are three pockets in total: two pockets and one zipper pocket.

3) Gusset size that allows the bag to stand up

One of the characteristics of Mongolian leather is that it is hard and durable, and to take advantage of this, we designed the bag to be able to stand on its own for ease of use.

It's fine at first because the leather is hard, but leather softens and becomes more comfortable with use, so we put a core material inside so that the bag can stand on its own forever. Also, the bottom is where pressure is applied when you put something in, so we took that into consideration and put a sponge-like but hard core material inside.

In addition, the core material prevents the shape of the bottom from changing even if you stuff things into the bag when the leather becomes soft.

④Large capacity to store a 13-15 inch laptop

There is still room to fit a 13-inch laptop, a HushTug multi-case, a square pouch, a notebook, a wallet, and a business card holder. It looks triangular from the side, but the zipper part stretches, so it has a surprisingly large capacity.

⑤Handle that is gentle on the hands

The handles of the business bag are round instead of flat. Round handles reduce pressure on the hand and are less likely to lose shape even if you grip the bag tightly, so you can use it for a long time.

To be honest, a flat bag is much easier to make (lol), but since this is a business bag that cannot be carried on the shoulder, we decided to use a round bag.

That's all about business bags from the perspective of the production site!
The key point is that it exudes a more subtle sense of luxury than a tote bag! Be sure to take a look at it!

Today's model was Chimge, the factory manager! On the day of the shoot, she had just cut her hair to medium length, so she was in a good mood and had a great smile on her face when she posed for us (lol)

Thank you for reading this far!
