Workshop introduction: Production volume is increasing and the workshop is becoming more and more lively.
Hello!
This is a HushTug Hariuner.
It's still autumn in Mongolia, but it's snowing like it's winter. It doesn't snow much in Japan (Tokyo) in November, but it's normal in Mongolia (Ulaanbaatar)! (I wonder if the air pollution is less than last year...?)
Even though it's -15 to -20 degrees in Mongolia, our workshop is continuing to produce products to be sent to customers in Japan in December.
In this video and blog, we would like to introduce our workshop for those who are curious about where HushTug products are made.
(Helping with multi-case production)
■ Where (in what workshop) are HushTug products made?
It has been about seven months since sales officially began in Japan in April of this year.
Thankfully, we have had many customers purchasing our products, and our production volume has increased steadily every month. As a result, our previous small workshop was too small and we were unable to provide space to store the products we made, so we moved to a workshop that is about three times larger in August.
At first, there were few craftsmen and it felt spacious, but now it feels cramped.
(It's only been three months, but it's gone by so quickly!)
At a meeting held in January this year, we decided that our goal for this year was to become a workshop that can produce 500 items per month by the end of 2019. We have already produced over 600 items this month, so we have successfully achieved our goal ^ ^ (I'm so happy!!!)

■Who produces HushTug products?
Around January this year, production was carried out by just three craftsmen, and at that time I was also helping out with the preparations for production. (Even back then, I was being asked to do unreasonable work other than interpreting.)
At first, the craftsmen were busy just making bags, but now they are not only making bags, but also thinking about how to solve problems that occur during production and improving their techniques . I feel that their skills have improved in many ways compared to back then. (Everyone has grown so much 👏)

Last month in October, two new craftsmen with production experience at Mongolia's number one cashmere and shoe factories joined our team, and we are really happy that HushTug is gradually gaining recognition in Mongolia!
Through HushTug's efforts, we will continue to work hard to further increase employment in Mongolia and inspire young people!!!

■What kind of machinery is used to make HushTug products?
When you think of machines used to make bags, most people probably think of sewing machines, but there are actually many different types of sewing machines.
In addition to sewing machines, we also use many other machines for production, such as machines for thinning the leather, machines for inserting logos, machines for turning the edges of the leather, and machines for cutting the leather.
We started with just one sewing machine, and managed to get by by borrowing machines we didn't have from others, but now we have four different types of sewing machines, a total of six, and two other machines. (Production has become more efficient and the quality has stabilized!)

At the moment, HushTug's workshop produces about 600 items per month, but we will continue to work hard to recruit, educate, and create a comfortable working environment so that we can ship even more products in the future.
That concludes our introduction to the workshop!
I would be happy if you could learn a little about our Mongolian workshop.
Please continue to support us! We'll do our best!!!
Thank you!
See you soon!
