[Part 2] We interviewed a customer! [Mr. Mitsumasu, a Smart Wallet user]

Hello! This is Oishi from HushTug.

We recently began interviewing people who use HushTug products.

(Click here for the first episode )

This time we spoke with Mitsumasu, who lives in Oita Prefecture!

The smart wallet he is using is currently not for sale, but he has always loved Mongolia and sympathizes with HushTug's philosophy, so he spoke to us about his feelings for Mongolia.

- How did you find out about HushTug?

Two years ago, I had the opportunity to go to Mongolia, and my husband asked me to buy him a Mongolian leather wallet, so I looked everywhere for one.

However, even when I looked locally, I couldn't find anything I liked.

So my husband, who was in Japan, searched the internet for "Mongolian leather" and found HushTug.

The design was stylish and the company's philosophy was great, so I felt like "this is it!"

My husband told me to go find a store, but I couldn't find one.

After doing some research I found out it was sold online so I bought it.

- I heard that you've always loved Mongolia, but what was the trigger that made you want to visit?

Yes, that (related to Mongolia) is the only hobby or reason for living that I have continued for a long time!

I've been interested in Mongolia since I was in junior high school, and although I've forgotten what the initial trigger was, I may have read about it in a book or something.

So I've always wanted to go there someday.

- I see! In fact, you actually lived in Mongolia for a while!

That's right. I participated in a volunteer program with JICA, and of course I wanted to go to Mongolia.

Then, luckily, I was sent to live in Mongolia.

As a volunteer, I was a Japanese language teacher. (There are relatively many people studying Japanese in Mongolia.)

- How do you feel about the smart wallet you purchased?

I originally bought it because my husband wanted it, but after using it he realized he would have preferred something with a larger capacity, so I decided to use it instead.

It was just right for me so I've been using it all the time!

I've been using it every day for just under two years now.

It was the perfect size to fit everything I needed.

I mainly put cards in it, but since it has a divider, I also put in about two 1,000 yen bills as spares.

It's just the right size for everyday use, and it doesn't take up much space in your bag, so it's very convenient to use!

- Thank you! I'd also like to make some accessories like a smart wallet, so I'm glad to hear your feedback!
What are your impressions of HushTug?

When I first decided to buy, I had a look at the website and saw that there were many passionate messages being expressed, which were exactly how I feel (about Mongolia).

I think it's wonderful that he is doing things that I have always wanted to do but was unable to take the first step to do (such as solving social problems).

I was truly moved and have been supporting him from behind the scenes, so I am very happy to have been asked to do this interview.

There are many social problems in Mongolia, and even though I wanted to do something, I couldn't put my plans into action or take the first step, but I think it's amazing that he was able to do it and create such a great product.

I hope you continue to do your best in the future.

- Thank you! You lived in Mongolia for two years and have visited the country since then, so I assume you are familiar with the country. What social issues in Mongolia concern you the most?

It's not like I know much about it. Lol

But among the many problems, I'm not sure if I can say it's the biggest one, but one is the environmental problem, the problem of air pollution.

Also, Mongolia has developed tremendously over the past few years.

I was living in Mongolia in the early 2000s.

However, when I went there a few years ago, the cityscape was completely different and I got the impression that it had developed tremendously.

This means that the economic disparity is inevitably getting larger, which is very worrying and makes me think that there must be a lot of people who are in trouble.

The city has become cleaner and you don't see as many poorly dressed children around as you used to, but I think there's still a lot of that going on out there in places you can't see.

- I see... I hope that HushTug can help increase employment in that respect as well. Is there anything you would like to see from HushTug in the future?

Speaking very personally, I would like to see a variety of products aimed at women, such as smaller bags.

Leather is very large and has a strong presence, so when you make a large bag it can be too overwhelming. I would be happy if there were products for women.

This time we interviewed Mitsumasu, who has a special attachment to Mongolia.

It was great to have the opportunity to speak directly to customers who sympathize with and support HushTug's goal of "creating Mongolian industry."

This interview was conducted with the cooperation of the HushTug Ambassador , who was previously announced.

Thank you for reading to the end this time as well.
