Product Features

#1Part Introduction

#2Ultimate simplicity, eliminating all unnecessary embellishments.

We pursued the ultimate minimalist shoulder bag by eliminating all unnecessary decorations and making all metal fittings black.

#3Luxurious use of Himeji leather, highly acclaimed worldwide

We use luxurious cowhide leather produced by a tanner (Nakajima Leather Industries) in Himeji, a famous leather production area.

Please enjoy the strong, supple Himeji leather, made with traditional techniques cultivated over 65 years of history, and its beautiful aging process.

#411 Commitments to the Leather Shoulder Bag

1. Full leather specification with the entire surface finished in leather. It is finished with a high-end design that utilizes the original texture of the leather.

2. Optimal size for everyday use. Fits an iPad (10.2 inches) and a 500ml plastic bottle.

[Contents]
① iPad (10.2 inches) ② iPhone 15 Pro Max ③ Mobile battery ④ Key case ⑤ Long wallet ⑥ Pouch ⑦ Pen case ⑧ 500ml plastic bottle

3. Adopts a convenient back pocket that can store smartphones (all sizes) and other items.

4. The bag has a total of two pockets inside.

5. The shoulder strap can be adjusted in 6 steps. You can also add more holes yourself.

6. The leather is processed with what is called chrome tanning. It is resistant to "scratches, water stains, and color fading," so you can use it beautifully for a long time.

Below, we verify how resistant the Himeji leather used by HushTug is to scratches, water stains, and wrinkles.

7. The zipper used is the Japanese YKK (Standard Black No. 5), which is highly acclaimed worldwide. By installing the zipper facing upwards, we have maximized its capacity.

8. The entire bag is stiffened with core material. The silhouette does not lose its shape even when items are placed inside.

9. Each item is carefully sewn by hand by Japanese craftsmen. Because of its simple design, there is no room for error, so perfection is pursued in every detail.

10. HushTug leather conforms to your hand the more you use it, developing into a unique item with character.

11. To pursue ultimate simplicity, the logo is only shown on the inside. Please remember HushTug for a moment when you casually take something out.

#5Frequently Asked Questions about the Leather Shoulder Bag

At HushTug, with the desire to alleviate any pre-purchase anxiety, we intentionally share negative concerns raised by our customers.

We have compiled useful information for customers considering a purchase in the article below, so please check it before making a purchase.

About Us

#1What is HushTug?

HushTug is a leather brand that offers high-quality, simple leather products at affordable prices.

At the same time, by carrying out most of our leather production and sewing in Japan, we aim to solve social problems faced by the Japanese leather industry, such as a shortage of successors.

Thus, we are a social brand that aims to preserve the tradition of the Japanese leather industry for future generations through our brand operations.

#2About HushTug's Pricing

At HushTug, we value cost performance.

"Improve quality while keeping prices low."

To achieve these seemingly contradictory goals, we chose a business model where:

We handle everything from product planning and development to sales and post-purchase support in-house,

and cut costs as much as possible, excluding material and labor costs.

Since there are no intermediaries, we can cut unnecessary costs and provide highly cost-effective products.

#3The Makers' Vision

Most of HushTug's products are made by D.bell (formerly Handbag Suzuki).

We pour all the knowledge gained over 90 years of our company's history into our products to ensure customer satisfaction.

Through HushTug, we aim to solve the problem of a shortage of successors in the leather industry and pass on Japan's wonderful traditions to future generations.

Please take a look at our work in the page below if you'd like.

#4Our Thoughts on Selling Prices

At HushTug, with the desire to pass on traditional and excellent manufacturing techniques to future generations, we are committed to selling products at appropriate prices, and will raise prices if necessary to ensure that artisans are properly compensated.

Furthermore, to prevent customers who have supported HushTug from feeling sad that "the price is lower than when I bought it," we will, in principle, not lower product prices in the future, making the current price the lowest price.

Please take a look at our thoughts on price increases on the page below if you'd like.

#5Beware of color transfer and fading.

Due to the nature of genuine leather, using it when wet can cause color transfer and fading.

Please be especially careful in summer when you tend to sweat.

The following methods can help prevent color transfer to some extent. Please check them as well.
