[New Product Development Series ④] First briefcase sample completed!

Hello! I'm the HushTug musician.

The first sample of our new briefcase product is finally complete!

This time, we will introduce the features and attention to detail of briefcases, as well as the differences between them and ready-made business bags.

This is a continuation of the previous article [New Product Development Series], so if you haven't read it yet, please take a look.

Briefcase Features

Before we introduce the features, please take a look at the first sample of the briefcase.

Isn't it cool?

When I saw the picture of the briefcase at work, I was so impressed that I exclaimed out loud, "That's cool!" (laughs)

This is because briefcases are said to be one of the most difficult products to make, and we had no idea what level of quality we could achieve.

But I was surprised at how well it turned out, it exceeded my expectations...

Now let's explain the features of the briefcase while comparing it with ready-made business bags!

1. Metal fittings are used at the base of the handle

The briefcase uses metal fittings.

Attaching the metal fittings adds a luxurious feel and improves functionality, such as allowing the handle to stand on its own when in use and fold down when not in use.

Comparison with business bags

The business bag does not have any metal fittings.

This means the handle is always freestanding.

2. Emphasizing square contours

The briefcase emphasizes its squareness.

Emphasizing the squareness makes it look more stylish.

It goes well with a suit and gives off a solid impression, doesn't it?

Comparison with business bags

The business bag narrows from the bottom to the top.

It has a slightly more casual and softer impression than a briefcase.

3. It has studs on the bottom

The briefcase has bottom studs, as it is intended for use by salesmen and others who often place their bags on the ground while out and about.

HushTug's theme is "ultimate simplicity," and none of its previous products have had bottom studs.

So this is our first attempt at using bottom studs.

Comparison with business bags

The business bag does not have bottom studs.

If there are studs on the bottom, it will inevitably look like a work bag.

Therefore, if you want to use it for both business and casual occasions, a business bag or tote bag may be easier to match.

The most important thing

Now let me introduce you to the most important feature of our new briefcase product.

Enhance the contours for a smarter look

As mentioned earlier, the briefcase's square contours are emphasized to give it a stylish look.

After much trial and error, we decided to use something called a piping on the outline.

Welting is a technique in which a tubular leather tape is sandwiched between the seams and then sewn.

Adding beading adds a more three-dimensional effect and makes the border stand out more.

I don't think it would have been as sexy if it were more rounded.

Finally

How was it?

This time we introduced the first sample of our new briefcase product!

In the first sample, the zipper was gold, but next time we are considering making it in silver.

I'll contact you again if there is any progress!

Thank you for reading to the end today.
